- Senn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Very nice, I'll be pointing a few of my friends in the direction of this site, it's great to have a single place that explains the benefits of free software, and the problems with proprietary, better than I can.
- reptiler, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I already linked it in my blog and website, also I pointed a colleague there, and successfully made him install Ubuntu.
- schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Been linking to it for almost a year. It's not new, but it's a wonderful site.
- sloppychris, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Now THIS is a website I can send my friends to! Shazzaaam!
- sloppychris, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3How exactly is the existence of a website forcing you to do anything? By that same logic every site ever created forces information on you. That would be a pretty weird amalgamation if it were true.
- Senn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1So when you have to buy Windows with an OEM machine, essentially having that OS "forced" on you, it's fine, yet when a website simply gives information about an alternative (which you have the option to ignore) it's bad?
- maximusss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Incredible website!
Finally something simple and easy to understand, accessible to all whether tech-savy or not.
Will greatly recommend this to friends, parents, grand-parents and all!
More importantly, i liked the way how its not fanboyish (bashing Windows or whatnot), it's just saying :"Hey! Why don't you try Linux, you might like it? Oh By the Way, here's why we think it's better to have free and open source software" :p - 7of7, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5Stop trying to force your OS on other people.
