- geminitojanus, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13HTML doesn't render exactly right from browser to browser, PDF guarantees that level of rendering accuracy to say the least. However, the more significant issue is they haven't fixed the, well I'll say it, ugliness of the magazine format. I have to say this issue looks better, but it could still use some huge refinements.

- Phocion55, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9What's an iPhone?
- Disfnord, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7You do know you can select which sections show up on the front page, right?
- generalloy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9I really liked it. The Granny section was my favorite :) Excellent how-tos and reviews.
- slackerbox, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Yeah, but the articles text can be posted on the website. Even just an excerpt or two would be nice to entice the user into downloading the whole issue.
- Phocion55, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6agrd
- Mejogid, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8Actually, it's the third issue since they're numbering them with a zero-based index. And to all those who complain about it not being news, the magazine itself contains news and is released rarely enough (about once a month) that I'd say a knew release qualifies as news.
- seanmc303, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Way less useful stuff is posted to Digg than this. If depending on a Diggmocracy is too much for you to bare, avert your eyes and votes from articles that do not catch your fancy. Aside from my rant, a new free magazine that is pretty cool deserves all the free press it can get.
Props to those that make this magazine. - K3ITHK, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7I like the spelling mistakes in the magazine. I mean how many times are they going to leave out the letter "e"? Really poor editing.
C- - Ubersmush, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7If people digg it it gets popular
simple as that - matriculated, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Well it looks better than the last issue (they got rid of all those horrid boxes) but it's seems like the design is trying to make a compromise between being a print magazine (multiple columns, vertical format) and being screen friendly (large fonts). They should switch to a horizontal orientation (which will still be print friendly) and find a good designer. Check out before & after's online magazine pdfs (www.bamagazine.com) for examples. They know how to do it.
- jldugger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Probably because they hope to publish physically in the future, and almost nobody has a PostScript reader handy. But at the moment, they need serious editorial help.
- tuxerware, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This is Digg, if the post appears on the front page it means that people think it's interesting. Pretty hard to understand this digg thing huh?
- Knightwise, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I like the "Ubuntu for your grandmother article". .
...
..
probably cause i wrote it ;)
I like the vpn article even better ! - srg13, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This is a pretty good magazine content wise. The design has come a long way since issue one, but there is still quite a way to go. Some of the pages are a bit bland - just black text on white. They could fix this with a colourful header or something down the side
- tgilber, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Wow, a magazine that contains news *and* is released about once a month... that is rare!
- Mejogid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Not when there are many year old articles submitted it isn't.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You see it is darn difficult to keep tabs on so many updates. The digg link informed me that the update was in place.
Way way better than havin endless stream of "iPhone has this n that new/hidden/great/stupid feature." - MBHoy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm in there! :D
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Me in the same boat, tell me as well puhleez.
- antonio97b, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3But does it blend?
Come on. Can we all stop with these phrases? Probably not. - ronniet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Well, help out then!
- AlbinoRaven, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Same, here. Switched my parents over a while back.
- ronniet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0They use Adobe products, we use only OPEN-SOURCE applications hence the design limitations.
- flashback99, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3I think we'll get bored of hearing these updates after issue 3
- mcmlxxii, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1"HTML doesn't render exactly right from browser to browser" yeah and?
- M3RCINIAN, on 10/11/2007, -15/+8...And? I don't see the significance of this "news". I'd understand if it were issue #1... but does this mean we'll get an update each time a new issue is released?
- dynamicx, on 10/11/2007, -7/+0Why must people insist on using PDF when it's being read on a computer..
- jtbndy, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1Anything posted in the Linux/Unix section is automatically dugg up to the front page.
Linux creators could go take a ***** and it would make front page. - nailer, on 10/11/2007, -14/+6Could you just do this as HTML rather than PDF?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -10/+2At first I read this as "Full Circle Jerk Magazine releases Issue 2"
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -16/+3Spam anyone? Just because it isn't a mag just about windows DOESN'T mean it still isn't spam.
