linuxhow2.com — The French police force have decided to fully adopt the Linux operating system. This is a continuing trend in Europe where government run institutions are running towards Linux with open arms. Will this trend pick up in the U.S.?

unfortunately it would take a revolution in the UK for this kind of news. the current public sector decision makers are Microsoft trolls. - ukblacknight, on 01/31/2008, -0/+2Gotta give it to the French on this one! The success of this move is vital for other governments and the private sector, who might be considering open source alternatives. Still though, if the UK government ever made the move, I could bet they wouldn't decrease taxes to reflect the savings :
