- yoda715, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Good article imo. I personally prefer Fedora for one big reason: Raid support. I had a hell of a time getting Ubuntu to install into a raid. I eventually gave up because not all my hardware was recognized after getting it installed to raid. Fedora supported my raid straight from the CD, installed fine, and had no further issues.
- schestowitz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hmmm... it's akin to comparing kernel/FS performance because all I see are the CPU/memory-intensive tools running in command-line mode. A more realistic benchmark should involve typical use, IMHO. Then again, Ubuntu and Fedora share a lot of the same packages (GNOME, Linux with ext3)...
