fedoraproject.org — Over the past few releases, Fedora has gained a reputation amongst the various distributions for having some of the best artwork out there. This time around, responsibility has been handed over entirely to the community Art Team, and they've done themselves proud! Read on to find an interview with Máirín Duffy, art team lead.

  • Philluminati, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Agree. Ever since Red hat 6 I wanted to use Linux as my primary os but too many problems stopped me. Fedora Core 6 was the winner that made it happen. All the software I needed at my fingertips, all working out of the box and I'm sure in years to come I will go back to it.

  • countingthedays, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I agree. I tried lots of distros before fedora(Mostly mandrakes and SuSe's) before I actually got stuck on one.

    I've since switched to Linux Mint(IMO, better for desktops), but I still try each release of fedora on a spare computer to see how its improving. I may end up back one day.

    It's a good first distro, but the package management problems (back in Core 2/3, dunno if it's improved) really start to bug you after a while.
