No it's not! At least not exactly.
There is no mention of Unix or Minix. There is no mention of Ken or Dennis. So I guess Linux wasn't even inspired by Minix. It turns out it was inspired by GNU, which had "software" but no operating system to run it on!
It's like Andrew Tanenbaum never existed.
Richard Stallman had a huge influence on Linux, especially with the advent of GPL, so I don't mean in any way to diminish his contributions.
That being said, this is far from a complete "Evolution of Linux" - skillfull, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2wow, nice reading
