DirecTV DVR's violating the GPL?

griper.net — Are DirecTV's DVR's violating the GPL? System logs prove that the units are in fact running Linux (and other GPL'd software). Where's my copy of the GPL? Where's the source code?

  • Remmy, on 04/06/2008, -0/+1This was brought up on the legal mailing list for the GPL back in October and still I've heard nothing in response from the FSF. I hope they take notice and at least explain if a violation is taking place as I see no reference to the code used on DirecTV's site.
