Ubuntu is so freaking easy its stupid.
It needs to be easier for daily use?... x_x
Mainly a few apps need some polish is all.
Really people need to notice the difference between easier and familiarity.
It's like an argument between two different programming languages.

Linux has made great inroads into the server room. Linux in the server room makes steady progress each year. With the latest screw-up from M$ with Vista this desktop Linux progress will be even faster.

It is exceedingly difficult to track desktop and server installs for Linux since so many distros can be downloaded and traded person to person. but consider this most of the major internet players use Linux in the server room.
