- geoken, on 06/11/2008, -0/+4You left out the worst part, It's created and maintained by communists.
- inactive, on 06/11/2008, -1/+5Guys, what does it take to get through your heads? Linux is a hacker/illegal OS and will ruin your computrons and cause global warming! You can't even install it without windows!
- badassninja, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2"You have to use your hands? That's like a Baby's toy!" For some reason that comes to mind. As in, Compiz will leave windows in the dust by the time Windows 7 comes out.
- nickdot, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Hmmm... more eye candy. It would be nice if the compiz guys joins the gnome debate. We need more functional eye candy in gtk.
- Vadi0, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1Physics engine. Ohh yes.
- thetacticus, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Is it better than kiba-dock? or did kiba and compiz merge like beryl?
Kiba-dock is this business...once u compile and get it set up! - PatrickFisher, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Hey! Don't try to steal our devs!
- PatrickFisher, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1And the best part is, I think that growth will continue exponentially. With distros including Compiz by default now, we'll see more and more people playing around with the code in the plugins. I think most people will be surprised as to just how easy it is to program for Compiz.
However, we need to be careful. Too many plugins causes confusion and chaos. You should be able to easily add functionality to a plugin, you shouldn't have to write a new plugin. essentially, there should be plugins for plugins. I know there's work being done on this front, and I sincerely hope that it will turn out as well as I think it will. My future plugin ideas depend on it. - tj111, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1In Soviet Russia, Linux hacks you.
