Can Linux save Mot's mobile phone biz?
linuxdevices.com — In an effort to cut costs and boost margins, Motorola will reportedly use its Linux/Java based mobile phone operating system across "all mid- and high-tier devices." The beleaguered communications company will fall $1 billion short of analyst expectations this quarter, due to a slump in its mobile phone business.

There are so many parallel development, so Motorola just needs to stick closer to all these alliances and wait until Sybian's party is blown away (here's ABI's latest research findings: http://www.tekrati.com/research/News.asp?id=8609 ). Provided Motorola can stay at the edge, it'll cash in, eventually.
