- schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Some big names among the speakers. Excellent.
- sinnergy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Interesting line up. I'll see if I can make it out for this.
- BinaryCleric, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5David Grega's speech is going to be really good as well. Software usability is something Open Source devs really need to learn.
- benanzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I know Bradley Kuhn is the IT guy at the SFLC (saw him at Ubuntu Live give a neat talk about using Ubuntu in a small law office) and he used to be the director (?) of the FSF.
- FeriCyde, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Therowe: It's pretty popular in Ohio. It's actually a pretty fun event...
- meffie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4> After all, how many Linux users can there be in the mid-west?
Quite a lot, actually: http://www.ohiolinux.org/map.html

You do know that Thomas Edison was from Ohio. - Vorian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I am excited to attend the Debian packaging presentation... Most of the online documentation is hard to follow. It will be great to have a _real_ person walk through process :)
- wesw02, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I've been to Ohio Linux Fest for the past 3 years and each year it seems to get better and better (by better I mean the quality of the speakers). This just puts the icing on the cake for me!
- drimo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Looks great! I'm going to have to attend this.
- Rileyper, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3w00t first story from Ohio on digg

And people can fly there, too, because the Wright brothers were from Ohio. - 0mal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I've had a blast every year that I've been.
- Trixrox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ohio State Fans are annoying. Everytime I go into a grocery store, there are play by play updates over the loud speaker.
- Damin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1A Dig party? How about at Barley's Brew House at http://www.barleysbrewing.com on Friday, September 28th? OLF is having their Kickoff Party there..
- johnc4510, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Good luck with this. I only wish i could be there!!
- benanzo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Thomas Edison was a hack. He didn't *actually* invent anything. He was the boss of a company called the "Edison Collective" which employed young bright University students who invented everything. Of course, he put his name on all the patent applications and took all the credit and payed his smart-as-***** employees less than a fair wage.
- adiazar, on 12/24/2007, -0/+0I did go, and it was real fun.

http://www.asaprepair.com - bigig, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Ill be attending, (Boy am i happy to live in ohio now), if any other fellow digger's :P will be going maybe we could meet up?
- FeriCyde, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Damin: What, you're having a fuzzy memory from the event prior somehow? check those DIMMs, make sure they are properly seated -- drop the lubrication... ;)
- Damin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I think the talk on using Baseball Statistics as a Data Source for playing around with Databases is going to be interesting. But then, I also enjoy zapping myself with a taser every now and then.
- Damin, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1That's actually a good point. I think if you read the press release, it says that Spevack is the head of the Fedora Project and Kuhn works for the Software Freedom Conservancy...
- mwolfzorn, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Why would they do this? "Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center" Although geeks aren't know for being sports fans, there are some of us that are... The Ohio Linux Fest users should know Ohio State Football usually is more important than anything else in Columbus on a Saturday...
- bluehouse, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Eternity with nerds. It’s the Pasadena Star Trek convention all over again
- dowski, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1I know we're all geeks here, but it would have been helpful to let us know what the two speakers in the headline (Kuhn and Spevak) are known for.
- Damin, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0FeriCyde: Sure.. if you can remember it! LOL...
- dspp, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Very suspicious. After all, how many Linux users can there be in the mid-west? We only recently got electricity after all...
- therowe, on 10/10/2007, -10/+314 diggs in 40 minutes on a subject that is mostly unknown to most people....something is suspicious. something tells me this is getting passed around over IM or something outside of digg.
