- TiMMY8765, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1windows+ntfs can do mountpoints just like linux. if you want to mount a disk to c:/mount, follow these steps:
1. open the control panel, go to administrative tools
2. launch the computer management app and select disk management
3. for the drive you wish to mount, right click and choose 'Change drive letter and paths'
4. remove it's drive letter and then click add
5. select the second option and browse to c:/mount
6. click OK
everyone is surprised when I tell them ntfs can do symlinks, too. Linux is still better at it though.
