That's generally defined as a honeypot.
A darknet is a trust-based network in which all nodes on the network explicitely trust all other nodes on the network (at least in a strict, by-the-book darknet). In actual implementation, a darknet is a VPN that piggybacks on the "public" WAN infrastructure, mostly because darknetters don't usually have the time, money, or wherewithal to lay privately-owned cable between nodes on the darknet.
