ALSA Driver For The Creative X-Fi Appears
phoronix.com — Takashi Iwai, a developer at Novell/SuSE, has ported the open-source X-Fi driver (named sbxfi) found in the Open Sound System (OSS) over to ALSA. Takashi doesn't have an X-Fi sound card so he doesn't even know if the driver will do anything at this time. This new Creative X-Fi driver for ALSA should be considered highly experimental.
