    Seriously, I agree with all your points, except number 1 - I like having all the different window managers and I reckon that duplicated effort is necessary in that regarding (but not in regard to package management - 100% agreed there). And 99% of the time the hardware support is perfect, but when you have a 1% item - it is living bloody hell.
