- sloppychris, on 03/23/2009, -2/+10I'm all about the twitter plugin for gnome-do. No need for another application, it's running already.
- HiT0, on 03/23/2009, -4/+11I'd like an addon for Twitter that makes it less freaking annoying and pointless.
- sapd, on 03/23/2009, -0/+6It is the IRC of the "iPod" Generation. ;)
- noisymime, on 03/23/2009, -2/+8The KDE4 microblogging plasmoid is fantastic. No need for a full blown app when something small and nicely integrated does the job just as well.
- jacekpoplawski, on 03/23/2009, -0/+5I don't use Twitter.
I don't want to use Twitter.
Please stop spamming Digg with Twitter ads. - violationz, on 03/23/2009, -3/+8You've never twatted?
- ksgant, on 03/23/2009, -5/+9WTF? You go to twitter and type something in...there, it's done. It's about as easy as it can be...why do you need something else installed on your computer to do something that's easy to use as-is?
Honestly, when are you using your computer without having a browser open? If you're one of those people that only use text-based computing with no window-manager, then I can see having an "application" to twitter, otherwise, what's the point? - inactive, on 03/23/2009, -3/+7Only one of ten is a command line application? I'd expect more from a site called linuxhaxor.
- IamNomad, on 03/23/2009, -2/+5This man needs to be dugg up for speaking the truth.
- gilbert42989, on 03/23/2009, -0/+2is saying Windows forbidden now?
- makario, on 09/03/2009, -0/+2Agreed. Another reason GNOME Do kicks butt.
- rameznabel, on 03/23/2009, -1/+3to the windows user :
nanana nananaaa nanana nnaaaaananaa nnaaanna - kimme, on 03/23/2009, -3/+5There's only need for on application that uses ping.fm services to post to almost all online services like twitter, identi.ca and like and that's the application Gwibber. Can't live without it on my system. I even miss it when I use the "other" operating system that almost all gamers use.
- ukblacknight, on 03/23/2009, -1/+3Careful with twhirl on Ubuntu. I found that after installing it, my Add/Remove Programs was completely empty! How it does that is beyond me, but this fixes it!:
sudo apt-get --reinstall install gnome-app-install
Think I'll try Gwibber! Looks pretty but native at the same time. Heard it's by Ryan Paul from arstechnica. - inactive, on 03/23/2009, -0/+2Because a useless website demands useless clients
- jlimon, on 03/23/2009, -1/+31) Auto notifications
2) Continuous auto-updated searches
3) Auto translate URLs to tinyurl or other service
4) Better twitpic integration
Need I go on? - mynameistux, on 03/23/2009, -0/+2mine is broken, it crashed do
then again, I was mucking around with so many config files, (I mean, do I really need ALL of them) and now I am surprised when my computer is able to boot every morning.
(the whole thing is more or less *****, need to reinstal) :P - Jincopunk, on 03/23/2009, -0/+2If you are cool enough to use Linux you really shouldn't need to twitter
- Keloran, on 03/23/2009, -0/+2oo a new language, a "pearl" at least thats what they recon BLT is written with
- qbthemc, on 03/23/2009, -0/+2Twitter is getting so annoying. I have a twitter and i think i am a loser looking through all of these news articles.
- QueensGangsta, on 03/23/2009, -1/+2Wait, twitter clients?
- Adium, on 03/23/2009, -0/+1If you are only following people that tweet about when they take a *****, I think you have other problems. Like needing new friends!
- MightyUpsetter, on 03/23/2009, -1/+2You could have tweeted that.
- webcrumb, on 03/26/2009, -0/+1That was AIR.
- MadHatter563, on 03/24/2009, -0/+1You can send from term by using curl.. Which opens up doors to some fun things. I have a pc send me a weather report every morning so I can get it on my phone using twitter. I posted a tutorial of how to do it: http://maddhat.com/?p=35
- Elranzer, on 03/23/2009, -1/+2More Twitter spam. Nothing to see here.
- Adium, on 03/23/2009, -0/+1I have been using Twirl on Ubuntu for some time now. Not a single issue like you described.
- Oldschoolhack, on 03/23/2009, -1/+1Dugg for twitter in bash.
- spaceout, on 03/23/2009, -1/+1Twitdom has over 30 Linux apps listed http://twitdom.com/tag/linux/
- mydingaling, on 03/23/2009, -4/+4If you never post anything on it, it will be slightly less annoying and pointless.
- MightyUpsetter, on 03/23/2009, -1/+1its much better in a client.
- Chasey, on 03/23/2009, -1/+1Twhirl and TweetDeck ftw!~
- ben2talk, on 03/23/2009, -1/+1What's a twotter?
- inactive, on 03/23/2009, -1/+1The Internet toilet for micro-blogging diarrhea
- ben2talk, on 03/23/2009, -0/+0That's right - you should be using identi.ca as well.
If you were cool enough to use linux, you wouldn't have said that. - ben2talk, on 03/23/2009, -0/+0Why do you use Twitter then? Why not just use identi.ca and only follow feeds that you're interested to follow? and - strangely if you're not interested to follow, you have no need to log in.
There is no substitute for intelligence. Stupidity is rather a weak replacement. - jlimon, on 03/23/2009, -1/+1I use and love gwibber - I just wish it were a bit more stable.. that's the folly of pygtk apps.. They're easy to rapidly develop and push out but they're rarely as stable as if they were written by a C developer.
- chris7878, on 03/23/2009, -1/+0i use http://www.twitterautofollow.com easy way to pick up 50 or so followers.
- linuxpenguin, on 03/23/2009, -2/+1I still really can't understand why people like Twitter so much. But I guess I'll digg this anyway.
- ben2talk, on 03/23/2009, -1/+0#identibash rules - worked out how to get it on @linuxoutlaws.com forums
For posting, hard to beat gnome-do (post from identi.ca or juz twitter) - because sometimes Gwibber doesn't like posting or doing replies
Very cool - looks nice in terminator. - inactive, on 03/23/2009, -2/+1If you use Firefox, like most Linux users do, just install Twitterfox add-on. It's all you need.
- ben2talk, on 03/23/2009, -1/+0I thought myspace was closed source!
I only want one way to keep tabs on what #linuxoutlaws are doing, I get some extremely helpful tips and nice ideas.
I don't think any of them take a *****. - inactive, on 03/23/2009, -5/+41) Firefox
2) Konquerer
3) ??? - ben2talk, on 03/23/2009, -2/+0You mean you can't install Gwibber on Playstation?

What is Digg?
