-J. Robert Oppenheimer - darkmad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0never mind, got it to work on ie (god I can't believe I had to resort to that)
- Zlobadon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Would be much cooler if it weren't in that lame ass format and size, and there were some going off over Mexico and France... Try http://www.youtube.com/v/0MB9tirHbMg for a bigger view.
- FamilyGuyFan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pretty scary.
- canucksin2006, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0i agree completely with all opinions expressed previously i express no opinion of my own
- ploafmaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The irony here is that most people (including me) probably clicked the link so they could see some explosions.
I don't understand Spanish, but I think the post on the website is intending to show how awful nuclear weapons are. - Guillaumz0r, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0That ***** was boring...
- bryan8m, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0When seeing this video of nuclear blasts it really mixes the sadness of the human power with a certain beauty of these explosions...
- MaxPowers, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Scary? that was ***** cool!
- Flyngwalrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0... Dr. Strangelove?
- tim76844, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0The music sucks. I hate opera.
- Fieri, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"My god, how did we make it through the cold war?"
Reagan. - nos4a2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow, beautiful - war as art?
- Sonic84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hadn't seen some of those before, nice, but most of 'em looked like they were only kiloton shots, I didn't see amy megaton shots. if you want more footage of nukes look here:
http://www.vce.com/trinity.html "Trinity and Beyond: the atomic bomb movie" narrated by William Shatner! - neocitron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1" I don't know what weapons man will fight with in World War 3, but i can tell you, World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones"
- Albert Einstein - underoath_777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Already saw it, very scary.
- Andy123abc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nuke the whales!
- Imagine3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1its sad, but if I didn't know what that was, I would think it was absolutely beautiful. Kind of ironic don't you think?
- Buddybot111, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That was sweet, amazing the power we have. I agree beautiful.
- Cabal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0no linux. no digg.
/sarcasm - twogunsalute, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It would be cool to find out how much of an area it covers during the explosion.
- KillaKev, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Terrible music, low resolution, not very good footage. No Digg.
- egbert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0What is a video recopilation?
- rewritable, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'd like to see a nuke from the start all the way till it energy has been disapated. I hate when they only show 1/2 a nuke.
- ThinkBox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Terrible music, low resolution, not very good footage. No Digg
agreed - i have seen all these (and better) stock video before. - MAdaXe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Isnt' that just copied straight from the end of Stanley Kubrick's 'Doctor Strangelove (Or How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb)', starring Peter Sellers?
The music was originally 'We'll meet again'. - lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, "We'll Meet Again," by Vera Lynn, at the end of Dr. Strangelove.
I personally think the Strangelove ending was better than this one. - demigod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0http://www.undergroundfilm.org/films/viewer.tcl?oftype=lar&wid=1016781
Bunch of video to a remixed jim morrison song. some of it i had never seen before. worth the watch, almost artist although very hard hitting. It's a wonder we lived though that era. - rookieone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow...what the human has been powerful enough to do...just..amazing :-|
- MAdaXe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No no dont forget the terrarists there a bigger thret than annyfing weve evver had befour all those evil ppl who want to blow up merica.
Yeah bloody. Same old same old. Soviets were no more or less of a threat - it was the same old propaganda war. Before that, the germans. Before that, the germans again. Before that, the boers. Before that, the chinese. Before that, the indians. Before that, the americans. Before that, the spanish. Before that, the french. Want me to go on?
War is Peace. - ernesthoffmann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The "not boring" one with colors (8 mb)
http://www.big-boys.com/articles/nuclearpower.html - silentauthority, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Wtf is with the music.
- mikeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0horrible music and the only good explosion was the one nuke in the air. All we see are explosions coming up from ground but that was the first one i've seen with the explosion in the air with the explosion in a sphere.
- ernesthoffmann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1another one
http://www.compfused.com/directlink/628/ - ScaredCrab, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Demigod, nice link, thanks!
- CorpT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@ MAdaXe
Yeah, everyone knows WWII was just a propaganda war. - jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Was that supposed to be "Video Recompilation" ? Recopulation?
- ConEEE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought this would be just what I was looking for all this time. I'm fascinated by Nuclear weapons and have been constantly looking for high resolution video of them. Unfortunately it seems that these clips are the only ones out there (I've seen them all before).
The bad thing about these videos is that they're all before the 1970s and most of these nukes are under 1 Megatonne. They don't really represent anywhere near what the true effect a nuclear war would have. Imagine central London with 50 of these bombs going off, all dotted around the city at strategic points.
Horrible, horrible invention. - YamahaSteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Someone had already mentioned "Trinity and Beyond"... it is a very interesting film about above ground testing... it is available at netflix for those who have that service.
- lbermude, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Terribly ashamed of being a human....
- kenta, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0An ironic post for today (November 11), a day we in Canada call "Rememberance Day." It is a time to reflect on past events, and to remember those who gave their lives to serve our country. The saying associated with the day is, "Lest we forget." And with images like the one on that site, I don't think we ever will.

Yeah, I've always said the best way to prevent nuclear war was to have nuclear weapons. - Zguru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0check out comment #5. It's pretty sweet!
- Otto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, who are the weiners posted the "scary" comments? That video is just freakin' awesome. Boom! Yeah!
- thatsiebguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think most of those were either Atomic or Hydrogen explosions. The sea based explosions were mostly Hydrogen from the Bikini Atoll. I think the massive one at the end was an actual nuclear detonation. Impressive and scary.
- LittleOni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice link,Demigod. It's really scary to think that we're capable of such extremes in our behavior. We can cure most any disease in order to help mankind, but at the same time we're able create something that results in something worse than death...
- pdxkid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0too bad we can't close this Pandora's box
- adrianguru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pretty sweet.
