Maybe it is a sign of the times. Certainly this will attract a certain type of uncultured working class fan base and alienate any true believers in the sport, anyone who actually knows the game. Its not like this is a *new* deveoplement in the game. You're welcome to express your opinion, but don't be surprised when people don't see eye to eye with you.           If you ask me, the only thing currently wrong with Hockey is the changes thay make on a whim. Can't hit the guy when his head is down? Defense effectively useless in front of the net (This probably annoys me more than most because I used to play Defense and Goalie)?

There was some controversy because Emery, who used to be a boxer, want to put his hero from his youth on the mask. That hero happened to be Mike Tyson and the Senators management didn't want that so they tried to get him to take it off. Anyways, long story short, he wore the mask, there was controversy, the Senators lost their next game or couple games, and he took it off. He said it was bad luck.
