- cmoneyrox, on 01/11/2009, -0/+11sharks are the only respectable team in the bay area.
- kinseyincanada, on 01/11/2009, -0/+8mark it 31 they beat my canucks tonight.
- Pher, on 01/11/2009, -0/+6Great to see the Sharks getting some front page love, if you've never been to a game DO IT. I guarantee you'll have a good time, and it doesn't hurt that we're undefeated in regulation at home.
- rbpnps, on 01/11/2009, -0/+5w00t, go sharks!!
- hiopilot, on 01/11/2009, -0/+5How does 2 day old sports news hit the FP????
And I agree with KinseyInCanada, it's 31-5-5 now. We had a few San Jose jerseys on in my home here tonight watching the game in HD on the NHL Network.
I grew up with WCHL in Spokane with the Chiefs, and now in Seattle with Everette. But, I learned to love the NHL in San Jose watching a few rows up from the blue line. This game in Vancouver was on my Christmas AND Birthday lists to go drive to, and my Fiance missed BOTH hints. @!#$!@#$!@#$!@3
Speaking as a Sharks fan, I wish Cheechoo would get back into the game. He still looks more and more lost now that he's back from injury. But, he has for a few years now. There goes my #14 Jersey. :-P
Also give props out to Mats Sundin for getting his first goal back in the NHL! Not that I like it was against us, but, good to see him back and taking penalties that gave us a goal tonight.
Happy hockey everyone from the USA.. (I live in Seattle.. I'm REALLY close to Vancouver.. Can I please be Canadian for the day here?) - cmoneyrox, on 01/11/2009, -0/+4yeah i will admit the sharks choked under the leadership of wilson but mclellan is solid and they are an entirely different team. do you'll be eating your words come playoff time.
- mewp, on 01/11/2009, -0/+4W00t for hockey in general!
- Jeffler, on 01/11/2009, -2/+6Happy to see hockey on the FP as always, but this was just unnecessary.
- skullk, on 01/11/2009, -0/+3This is true.
If only I understood the greatness in the bay while I was a young lad in the early 90's. - blitz718, on 01/11/2009, -0/+3sharks are the new (old) redwings
- rheaume, on 01/11/2009, -1/+473 diggs, one comment, wow
- gordyOrr, on 01/11/2009, -0/+3That's what my buddy called to say during the Winter Classic when the 'hawks had their oh so brief 3-1 lead. Let's not kid ourselves here, we know where the real power in the West is.
- Jeffler, on 01/11/2009, -0/+241 Games in they're on pace for 130 points. They also seem to be slowing down a bit (though still maintaining a record, its like a shaking jenga tower I guess) Impressive, but not record breaking.
- cmoneyrox, on 01/11/2009, -1/+3*buttpwned the canucks.
- arock99, on 01/12/2009, -0/+2lol...this many diggs for the sharks hitting the 30 win mark. Now if Toronto did that it would be worth the diggs because that would be a miracle
buried - MrZop, on 01/11/2009, -0/+2I officially make you an honorary Canadian for a day. Have fun!
- diceau, on 01/11/2009, -1/+3"Sizzling Sharks Hit 30-Win Mark, Maul Oilers"
wtf? - PNooch, on 01/10/2009, -4/+6Watch out for the hawks
- m3mn0n, on 01/11/2009, -0/+1How?
I dislike the Sharks but I like seeing them get the credit they deserve. This will be a 60-70 win season and that's huge. News-worthy for sure.
Plus, this is better than the rest of the usual crap that hits FP. - spdorsey, on 01/11/2009, -1/+2I'm glad sports like Hockey can rank at all on Digg. It shows more diversity among Digg users that I thought existed.
Go Sharks! - StayClassynet, on 01/20/2009, -0/+0I'll also give you honorary status for that post.
I don't think Cheechoo ever got healthy again. To make matters worse, it doesn't look like he's in great shape either.... thats a deep roster that probably wouldn't miss him too much right now. Especially with Claude Lemieux being called up. Thats just another guy there to take his spot. - Jeembo, on 01/12/2009, -0/+0The Bruins lost to my Wild. Twice. :D
- pappy97, on 01/11/2009, -2/+2Yeah, because the Bruins play in the LEASTERN Conference right? Somehow they are so good, right? Give them some real competition and a tough travel schedule (crossing time zones on a regular basis) and we'll see how they do.
- StayClassynet, on 01/19/2009, -0/+0arock99 - thats because its a once in a life time thing :)
But does anyone think this is the year San Jose can take out the likes of the Detroit, Chicago, Calgary, etc...? - inactive, on 01/11/2009, -3/+1Oh, hockey is interesting.
- rick777, on 01/11/2009, -5/+1wow.........hockey...........
- syntaxgs, on 01/11/2009, -5/+1Hockey is a Little bit better but STILL hate sports in general hahahah :B LOL]
- datdamonfoo, on 01/12/2009, -5/+0Uh, so? Lakers are 30 and 6. Way to keep up, hockey!
- oldbeats, on 01/11/2009, -8/+1forget the sharks, Bruins is where its at. Sharks will choke like they do every other year.
