It wasn't from a lack of support that's for sure! I think it had more to do with a .66 cent Canadian dollar. There are 4 or 5 new Canadian markets that would bring more money than Nashville or Florida now with the .95 cent Canadian dollar.
I also believe there are better American markets than Nashville and Florida. Houston, Kansas City, and Portland for example.
It's just frustrating to see low attendances when you know there are other markets (Canadian and American) where Hockey would succeed. - artemus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The NHL shouldn't give up on America- The NHL should give up on Bettman. Death to the New NHL, death to expansion, death... to the trap!
- vincew, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Best move in any sport was the Atlanta Flames moving to Calgary. It's a hard pill to swallow that Florida has 2 teams and yet there are provinces in Canada without any.
- Drury77, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0great response to my question and I agree it wasn't for lack of support, and it was a money issue, but I don't think that issue is completely resolved either. I wish you could share this response with the rest of the readers of the thread.
