- mhollerb, on 06/23/2009, -0/+17Steve Yezerman is in that HHoF class, too, don't forget
- Wreckage, on 06/23/2009, -0/+123 members of the '02 Red Wings. Not a bad class at all.
- ssquared22, on 06/23/2009, -1/+10NHL 95, this dude was unstoppable!
- sobe4u8k, on 06/23/2009, -0/+9I work for the stars and see Brett everyday, He didn't even talk about this at work, what an honor for him.
- moosejaw99, on 06/23/2009, -1/+5The best part is he was always a fat piece of *****. He would barely be in shape all season, but his skill level was so high, his shot was so hard, that you just couldn't stop him.
The number of stories I have heard about Brett being 40-50lbs overweight in the summer are startling, not to mention the amount of partying he would partake in.
On a positive note: Thanks for signing my photo of you scoring on Hasek with your foot in the crease. - spanky6256000, on 06/23/2009, -4/+8Well deserved.
- beervolcano, on 06/23/2009, -0/+3I grew up watching Hull on the Blues, then I moved to Phoenix and watched his career end on the Coyotes. I think he was overrated and a crybaby. He was a one-dimensional player. Good for a one-timer in the slot or top of the circle, but that's it. When Mike Keenan took over as coach of the Blues, he was a detriment to the team by being outspokenly negative to the press about Keenan's coaching.
As others have said... ***** Brett Hull! - firstyear7d, on 06/23/2009, -1/+4i like the description of Hull here:

No Goal! - robbiev80, on 06/23/2009, -0/+3Brett Hull and Class don't exactly go together...
- inactive, on 06/23/2009, -1/+3He had 2 citizenships: Team Canada was his 1st choice and they didn't take him, so he went with Team USA in order to play internationally. Going for gold with a team beats not playing at all right?
btw, this is coming from a Canadian - Jrv420, on 06/23/2009, -0/+2I had a Brett Hull snow GT.
- metallimus, on 06/23/2009, -1/+3As a Blues fan, I can honestly say Hull had a huge influence on my childhood. He remains one of my favorite sports stars, and his induction is well deserved to be sure.
- inactive, on 06/23/2009, -1/+3Great father son moment.
- BluesFan, on 06/23/2009, -2/+3Brett Hull one of the best, if not the best sniper of all time.I think he took a lot of crap about being a trader for playing for the U.S and leaving St.Louis but I think if people knew the reason behind it they would not be mad at him.
- shinobiwest, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1no goal '99.
- PedleZelnip, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1@moosejaw99: because it's still BS. Just because he chose to play for another country doesn't make him a "traitor". Heatley plays for team Canada even though he's from Germany. There are other examples similar to that.
- beervolcano, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1Shanahan was always the better player on the Blues.
- Sifl, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1so... Do you get a discount on tickets? (Stars fan here)
- KyleJorgy, on 06/23/2009, -4/+5Brett Hull is a piece crap I can't stand to hear him talk about hockey. Yzerman probably the best overall player to grace the ice and Luc there is just as much to say. ***** Brett Hull
- bstew22, on 06/23/2009, -1/+2Hull no goal explanation.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF_LRVuhNa4
edit: or should i say, "goal explanation" - partysan, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1He was passed on as a junior. Too bad for Brett that he wasn't spoon fed a team Canada roster spot as well. And to play for team USA only to spite the Canadians shows what kind of character Hull really is.
- mhollerb, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1that's super embarrassing. should've reread. if i typed his name another 1000 times i'd get it right 999 of them.
- sobe4u8k, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1Well I am from Minnesota, so I will always be a north stars fan, but truly I am a Wild fan, I just moved down here last year.
- PedleZelnip, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1Who's Yezerman? Is he like that *Yzerman* guy?
- PedleZelnip, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1Seriously? Come on, Shanny was a great player in his own right, and might've been a better player in later years, but while they were teammates there's no question Hull was the superstar of that team with Oates a shave behind him.
- PedleZelnip, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1Oates, not Oats. Oats are what goats eat.
- sobe4u8k, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1Yes, I frequently get free tickets, but if I was to buy them I would get half off.
- PedleZelnip, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1Exactly -- someone who's loyal to the country that showed loyalty to him.
If you disagree, do you also think Heatley's a traitor to Germany (his birth country)? - HunterGathers, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1Hull and Oats
Hull scored more goals in a season than anyone not named "the Great One". - partysan, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1No. His father is Canadian, and he was born in Germany because his old man was playing hockey there. So he's no traitor, because there's nothing to betray in the first place.
- sobe4u8k, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1That was supposed to be a reply to my comment above, fml. Digg me down, I deserve it for pure stupidity.
- sobe4u8k, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1Ironically I also attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he played his college puck. Of course this was well before my time.
- firstyear7d, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1By a few you mean 3?
- firstyear7d, on 06/23/2009, -1/+1There are Stars fans???
- armchairpools, on 08/07/2009, -0/+0His dad doesn't sound that great, at least off the ice....http://www.armchairpools.com/blogs/archives/33-30- ...
- RainNIU, on 06/23/2009, -1/+1Please don't tell me you're one of the joke-artists that still has a "No Goal" bumper sticker in Buffalo.
There's a reason why they changed the rule. It's stupid. - SecretAsianMann, on 06/24/2009, -0/+0Yes. Quite a few of them actually.
- inigomntoya, on 06/23/2009, -3/+3In hockey, Brett Hull ***** YOU!
- moosejaw99, on 06/23/2009, -2/+2Bluesfan:
The reason behind him being a traitor is he was not good enough to play for Team Canada. His work ethic was terrible, he was a little fat kid who could score goals. He was also the son of a legend, and he knew it.
So he chose to bugger off to the U.S. team that opened their arms to him since his mother was American, and he had dual citizenship in spite of the fact he was born and raised in Canada.
So...he didn't like the hand he was dealt, so he went for easier and greener pastures to a place that would accept him and all of his *****.
He is a traitor, and he has no good excuse. - moosejaw99, on 06/23/2009, -1/+1Why do people digg down the truth. This was basically the information Fox Sports put out on Hull a few years back.
- tpmidd, on 06/23/2009, -12/+10***** Brett Hull.
- partysan, on 06/23/2009, -6/+3Bret Hull is a ***** traitor!
- mksmither, on 06/23/2009, -6/+2Way to go Hully! You are and always will be a rock STAR! :)
- luckydeck, on 06/23/2009, -5/+0He wasn't already in there? Who's Bobby Hull? Yes, I'm serious.
