- Coffeedemon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I prefer the stylized leaf logo from the 67 jerseys but the current one is good too - simple and classy. The Boston "Pooh Bear" one is weak - the bear should be at least a bit menacing, Smokey is more intimidating. The Canucks old one has grown on me more since I figured out it was a skate.
As for Leafs vs Leaves - some say its beacuse Conn Smythe renamed the team in the 20s to reflect the Maple Leafs - a Canadian regiment in WW1. Some say it sounds better on a jersey. - MysticSavage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It looks like Donald Trump's toupee.

I was at the game that night and everyone in the stands booed. It was horrible. It basically looked like the Burger King guy on a hockey jersey. So glad they didn't keep it.

- nfph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I had angst about the new logo throughout the summer, until I went to the scrimmage last Saturday. I still hate the away jerseys, the snot-rocket bison gets totally washed out on the front, but I can live with the home set, and the colors scheme is pretty slick. I don't think going back verbatim to the ol' Blue and Golds would be the right move, all I was asking for was a) blue and gold and b) some freaking swords on the front of the jersey. All in all, I got 50%. Crossed swords (as in: SABRES) would've made the current design so much better. Then again, don't listen to me, I thought both the Stick and the Skate jerseys the Canucks used to wear were pretty awesome.

- cfine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Come on, the Colorado Rockies logo was cool. I had an NHL school ruler in white plastic with all the early 80's team logos and I must say, the Rockies and Atlanta Flames logos stood out so vividly, I can remember them to this day!
