- Shriyansi, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2Love it! I've been a reiki practitioner for over 12 years now and can attest to its working irrespective of distance. However, it is important to note that sometimes, the reiki provider's energy may not gel with the recipients'... which is when the results are slow in coming. In some rare cases, the recipient actually feels physical/emotional discomfort and hence, must switch over to someone else.
- gbdc01, on 08/26/2008, -0/+1While the concept of distance healing may seem pretty "far out", there have been some interesting experiments on this by Larry Dossey, M.D., and Becker, M.D. (whose first name escapes me at the moment - he's the author of "Vibrational Healing"). What I find most remarkable is that distance healing can be achieved by people with no special training - just a desire to send healing energy to another person. The website this links to is a little hard to read because of the broken English, and while it does not appear to be soliciting payments (at least not at first), as I said, this can be accomplised by anyone, so you don't need to pay someone to do it for you (assuming you have at least one person in the world who likes you). Does it seem weird? Yes, to many people it does. But there's no harm in trying to send/receive healing energy.
