- dingedarmor, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1Especially the more fitness forms of yoga will help with this--it releases the positive hormones that affect mood and linking the long, slow deep breathing to the movement aids in that hormone shift--loads of studies on this.
- inactive, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1if you have to really ask, you've never done yoga properly. though it's also true that the first month or so of dedicated study can see you swept by moodswings as the crud impacted in your body and personality begins to liquify, but the alternative is to just leave it there. there is so much wisdom in yoga, and the philosophy is so much more genuine than the crap religions shovel around.
- inactive, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1Have you ever been active after a long time of just doing nothing? You feel better, at least that's been my experience. You may not feel like it before hand, doing something I mean, but afterwards you feel a lot better. Secondly it can be a social thing too, which all humans need. So that would be my guess as to why it makes people happier.
