- SuperIntendo, on 07/24/2008, -2/+50I'm not lazy, I just enjoy being sonic the hedgehog more than I enjoy being awake.
and yes, I really DID dream that I was sonic the hedgehog last night... - BookmasterIce, on 07/24/2008, -6/+41One word.
Hangovers. - TrevorBradley, on 07/24/2008, -0/+19I'm thinking back to when my wife and I had our first newborn. We were visiting at her mother's house. Taking care of a newborn is exhausting, and they have you up at all hours of the night asking for food.
When my mother-in-law went to bed at 10pm, she was "tired".
When we got up around 10am, we were "lazy".
To this day I don't really see the difference. - Murdats, on 07/24/2008, -1/+18well I would guess that yours is pretty stupid.
- inactive, on 07/24/2008, -5/+22a book light can trick your brain into thinking its daytime??? how stupid is the freaking brain??? I can tell its not daytime, and i use my brain to decide it isnt daytime, why cant my freakin brain figure out its not freakin daytime!!??
- neopherine, on 07/24/2008, -0/+12It's hard because I didn't sleep last night. Duh!
- moviscop, on 07/24/2008, -2/+12Thanks for the excuse!
- VandyB, on 07/24/2008, -2/+12This makes sense, after a few months of starting a full-time office job instead of working evenings in a bar, i've noticed a huge difference. I "just get up" in the mornings now, normally about 10 minutes before my alarm. I guess my body just knows.
Also I stockbroke aswell, and hate missing the market open or close. - megamod, on 07/24/2008, -0/+8That takes a lot of imagination. Did you brain do an upscale on the game or were you 32 bits?
I had a dream I was solid snake but with the ps3's graphics it didn't leave my mind much room for improvement. - Pahtcub, on 07/24/2008, -1/+8Work, it's just that there's nothing to be excited about...when you have to get up for work you aren't excited, but when you have to get up to say go to Disney World, you're right on time, cause you're excited!
- XeRoX2k2, on 07/24/2008, -1/+7billy get back to work in the wheat field, the arc-duke is coming to our hovel in a fortnight to collect our wheat or do you want him to sell your sister to the french
- inactive, on 07/24/2008, -0/+6Then you think of shooting yourself in the morning.
- breakaway, on 07/24/2008, -1/+6Your hand != missus
- jeremyduffy, on 07/24/2008, -1/+6I used to go to sleep at 9pm every day. During that phase in my life, I would wake up every day at 6:30am or before completely awake. I would say it's hard to get up in the morning because now I don't get to sleep until 11 or later.. I think it's a pretty simple formula: get enough sleep and you're not as tired.
- shmittay84, on 07/24/2008, -0/+5What if you work at Disney World?
- filmbandit, on 07/24/2008, -0/+5yeah you were lazy -- your parents and mine were probably never deadline-forced to work an 85 hour week on occasion either.
- blast_flame, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4Our bodies are obsolete. We haven't had a update in so long they are starting to fail to meet the demands of modern life. Bring on the transhumanism I say.
- cashmonkey, on 07/24/2008, -1/+5I hate mornings. I'm not even going to try and fix my body clock as a student. I'm in zombie mode in the mornings.
- TTT1, on 07/24/2008, -2/+6"I'll read this article.
Just give me 5 more minutes..." - filmbandit, on 07/24/2008, -1/+5"natural phase-delayed rhythm" is otherspeak for "***** your precious sleep, middle-management can't justify themselves if you aren't here giving them something to stand over"
i'm no gerbil . . . and that's why i freelance now.
steal some clients and get out as soon as you can. - angrynorwegian, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4It's always hard when you wake up in the middle of a dream, regardless of how much sleep you got.
- inactive, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4Mornings suck. Unless you dont have to wake up for work :) I fall asleep with the TV on so maybe that is the reason why its currently 3am and i am not sleeping!
- groo68, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3Oh, now I get how to go to sleep in the first place.
- displaced1, on 07/24/2008, -3/+6Nothing puts me to sleep better than a hardy fapping.
- filmbandit, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3you're getting too much sleep
- DP84, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3Shhhh, not so loud.
- groo68, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3Good thing too, otherwise you might think ""freak" I'm dead" and your brain would say "oh really?" and you would keel over as the car slowed to stop for the light.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3Any sightings of Miles or Robotnik?
- XeRoX2k2, on 07/24/2008, -1/+4i agree people are much fatter than before but i don't think it's just america...
when i was young there were only 3 sizes;small, medium and large.none of this extra extra extra extra super fat large that they have today - Jegzzy, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
- spiritditch, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3Touche
- VandyB, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2Yeah it's probably cos you're up all night on the computer, and your body knows your gonna be up all night on the computer.
- SuperIntendo, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2It was totally realistic, but as with most of my dreams (which i've discovered post writing them down) it was VERY weird. I was purple and running through the jungle, then I was climbing the necks of some giraffes and the animals from madagascar were helping me sing. yes sing. I dont get it either.
oh and last night i dreamed I was in some world war two game but it was actually the 80's and i had the HUD from CoD 2 but all the Nazis were also zombies and potentially ninjas. I swear to god i'm not kidding. - inactive, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2What are you talking about, I always wake up in the afternoon just in time for lunch.
- Tabris, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2Beyond that, portions are bigger than ever and people want the _most_ for their money, so getting Large everything seems like the best deal. A medium today was a large years ago, and instead of getting rid of "Super-Size", they just renamed it large. At Burger King, their sizes are Medium, Large, and King. Medium is probably similar to a 20oz bottle of soda.
- Rudegar, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2and the time it take to clean that marker off ones face
- Murdats, on 07/24/2008, -1/+3what about me, I work day times but my sleep is wired for graveyard.
- crownedgriffin, on 07/24/2008, -2/+4My internal clock is totally backwards. Good thing I work graveyard.
- groo68, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2Murdats, such is the plight that is the computer.
- Gizza, on 07/25/2008, -0/+2True.
I actually find it easiest to get up early on Monday because I get so much sleep over the weekend. However by the time Friday rolls around I struggle to get out of bed because I'm so tired from the lack of sleep over the week. Then I sleep in on the weekend to make up for it and the cycle starts over. - eavesdrop, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1I personally think showers solve that. Just get up, with your eyes half open and stumble into the shower. I live alone so I just leave the bathroom door open and light off , take a shower in the semi-dark, the water will eventually wake you up. Low temps affect me as well. If it's cold, I'll tend to stay in my warm bed longer.
I'm not a morning person at all. I worked swing and graveyard shifts for many years but this is what helped me get adjusted to my daytime job. - beauley, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Is there a magic pill that will close our minds and send us off into dreamland?

How to Get a Good Night's Sleep - zachary80, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Why would you go out there when you could stay here and ride a Ferris wheel made of pizza?

http://ehcsib.org/ - greenvortex, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1You don't need bright sunlight to reset your body clock.Your eyes' circadian photoreceptors only respond to blue light. Because of color opponency, exposure to yellow light actually inhibits this response. White light (which contains all colors) has to be 10x brighter to get the same effect as blue light. One little blue LED can do the job.

- lifecoach9, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1I have gotten used to my abnormal sleeping patterns. I know the computer is a big reason why I have a hard time sleeping at night. I am often on the computer until late. I have stopped using my alarm clock and allow my body to wake up when it is ready. Luckily I make my own schedule, so I am able to do this.
- Hosalabad, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Epic win on this comment right here.
