    I actually think its cool if there is ANY positive side to all the crap and pain we sufferers go through, but as others have pointed out this seems to be a pretty broad study, short on detail. It may be a long while before anyone pins down what it really means. It could end up having nothing to do with the hormones but like she mentions, it could instead be the medications common in treating migraine.

    Now if they find that my cluster headaches prevent prostate cancer... I'm golden. : )

Logical minds might want to actually read up a bit on the history of Searle and Rumsfeld in pushing through the patents and suppressing the research etcetera. Artificial sweeteners have been banned in many places for good reason. The U.S. and FDA put profit before health - after all the 'health care' industry wouldn't be so big if people weren't consuming so much of these unsafe products.

  • Tenar, on 11/18/2008, -0/+2You know, maybe the female 2% of Digg would pay more attention if the insensitive misogynistic comments and stories didn't appear quite so often. I enjoy reading Digg stories and find most of them interesting, but this particular article is just trying to put a positive spin on a painful experience. I've been suffering from regular migraines since I was 12 (almost 10 years now), and the potential 30% less chance of my 1-in-8 chance of breast cancer really isn't something to get excited about when lying on the couch praying for my head to just explode and be done with it.
