- bbarnhart, on 12/13/2007, -0/+2Hello Ice Cream, Bacon and Steak. Where have you been?
- ShariV, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2It's nice to see a major news source getting the story straight. Current low-fat FDA recommendations are based on flawed science and biased studies. Saturated fat is an essential part of a healthy diet.
- swankboy, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1Did you read the article? It goes on to discuss that.
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1I always knew that the anti-meat propaganda perpetuated by the main stream media was BS.
This is a nice article to pass along to friends. - Error601, on 12/14/2007, -1/+1Stupid article. Some people just have a genetic disposition that they don't get cholesterol buildup no matter what they eat.
- rocky9876543210, on 01/08/2008, -0/+0It is foolish to get one's nutritional info. from t.v. commercials, and huge industries that have massive finances at stake. Also, it makes sense to eat foods, such as healthy meats, butter, coconut oil, etc, in as close to their original state as possible. Enjoy them, then take care of the other aspects of your health, such exercise and your spiritual life.
- Kentishldy, on 12/13/2007, -1/+0I use virgin organic coconut oil because its VERY healthy and good for you. If you are interested in the facts you can read the research here - http://www.coconutoil.com/ I purchase a very high quality coconut oil ( my favorite) and also virgin organic palm oil (great for popcorn) here - http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/
- joleenkay, on 12/13/2007, -1/+0No more transfats for me. Finally an oil that keeps my immune system up and my junk food cravings down. Read all about it in: Virgin Coconut Oil ~ How it has changed people's lives, and how it can change yours! http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/book_virgin_coco ...
- coconuttielady, on 12/13/2007, -1/+0GREAT INFO!! Finally someone presents the truth about 'the facts' on saturated fats. I love coconut oil. It's easy to use, tastes great and is totally good for the body. I also love palm oil, butter and eggs, and I don't have high cholesterol.
- slve, on 12/14/2007, -1/+0I have found that eating things as close to their original state as possible is the best and healthiest way to eat. This article certainly supports that idea. I started cooking with coconut oil several years ago and I cannot go back to any other oil! It's just not the same. I also switched to eating eggs (cooked with coconut oil) and using real butter and my blood sugar stabilized, my low thyroid became normal and my energy increased over a short period of time. The proof is in the pudding, as the saying goes! Check out http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/ for the best oils to use!
