- emmeron, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2There are studies that show benefits out there, there are studies that claim it's all placebo effect. Either way, if you're going to post something like this, cite the studies. Just saying so isn't good enough. To that point, if this gets dugg a bit I expect tons of "it works for me/someone I know" and a bunch of links to quackery.com etc. Neither -- I repeat -- neither are any good for _anything_ as they are both just as biased and therefor scientifically erroneous in approach. Finally, if you're going to go off about how it's garbage (someone always does), be a good digger and talk about the article. This article does stink for lack of fact to go on -- but saying "this is garbage" is the equivalent to "me good vote me."
- Icupnimpn2, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1Absolutely right. "Several studies," "Another study," which study? If you've read the study, cite the study. Blah.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0here is the source to the story. It is my article, but I didn't submit it to digg. Anyone can say anything they want about things working and not working. There has already been enough evidence of effect to be approved by many insurance companies. The FDA only accepts double blind testing, something the Chinese have not done in their past 1000 years of case studies. The article is just about acupuncture and the new ability of placebo testing. Not sure if that needs any bashing?
