- seltaeb4, on 05/14/2009, -1/+9Know about what in advance?
- jerrycan, on 05/14/2009, -0/+7I had alzheimer's in college.
- Fleagleman, on 05/14/2009, -0/+5Show grandpa a picture of his granddaughter. If he says, "Wow, she's hot!", he has Alzheimer's
- MrInfallible, on 05/14/2009, -1/+5You can take a ***** of fish oils and a new drug is being tested right now which may stop it but not cure it, so this test may have some value.
- Namco, on 05/14/2009, -0/+4*****, ask me what I did yesterday or what did I have for breakfast and I can't answer it. And I'm 34.
- osteor10, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3yes, yes it does.
- catalinex, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3i would have been nice if there was a test or something...

- Smokeydabear, on 05/14/2009, -1/+4Just ask them how much a bushel of peaches should cost. If they say "In my day a bushel of peaches cost a nickle" then they are not suffering from the disease.
- induren, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3Actually a lot can be done. Insurance companies can red flag you to deny coverage in the future, and save themselves a lot of money.
Please think through things in a business-health care point of view as well, instead of a only health and wellness point of view. It will help our corporate masters if you do so. - inactive, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3My Dad has Parkinson's and is partially paralyzed on his left side. My mom or I have to be with him all the time. It is very sad to watch a once powerful man in decline.
Every time I hear of an advance against Alzheimers or Parkinsons I have to cheer. - xsecretfiles, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3Sorry to tell you this, but ...You have lupus
- christoast, on 05/14/2009, -1/+4Did you take a test?
No?
You have Alzheimer's - whiteness81224, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3link to the test?wtf?
- Modiga, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3It might make sense, but it doesn't mean it will work. The idea of science is to test claims like that and see if they have any merit, rather than just going along with things that make sense.
- JoeCool51, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3...it's never lupus.
- anonymousmedic, on 05/14/2009, -1/+3Homeopathic drivel. And in the future, youtube is NOT a reliable source to quote.
- orie, on 05/14/2009, -0/+2Just for the record, Alzheimers != Dementia. Dementia is a general term to describe the slow loss of mental function, Alzheimers is a disease which causes a loss of mental function. There are others.
(Grandfather died of Alzheimers, Grandmother of an undetermined "Dementia" that was not Alzheimers. - drevil55, on 05/14/2009, -0/+2...or he's just a really dirty old man.
- dicer999, on 05/14/2009, -3/+5WHERE AM I?
- dustinbolton, on 05/14/2009, -0/+2Denny Crane.
- HamstaMan, on 05/14/2009, -0/+1That makes sense considering omega 3 fatty acids are required for brain development.
- dukeeeey, on 05/14/2009, -3/+4If you have amalgam dental fillings, the mercury could be poisoning you.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ylnQ-T7oiA - L8blumR, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1buried for a lack of science
- Grueslayer, on 05/15/2009, -0/+1My mom says how fast alzheimer's hits you is directly related to how many kids you have.
- inactive, on 05/14/2009, -3/+4Where did I park my car?
Oh no... - asgardshill, on 05/14/2009, -5/+5Uttering the words "Dittos, Rush"
- RumpleForeskin3, on 05/14/2009, -5/+5My test is:
Did you put on underwear today?
What did you have for breakfast?
It's a pass/fail - viol999, on 05/14/2009, -6/+4Huh...what? I forgot what I was reading.
- inactive, on 05/14/2009, -4/+2Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this article state that people who drink alcohol and are over-weight have less risk?
Sweet picture BTW. - kunstgriff, on 05/14/2009, -4/+1What's that test for? It predicts something that can't be corrected or in any way treated or cured. It might be useful for research purposes but not for an Alzheimer patient's life. To know in advance that one day you will no longer be the person you are today is frightening -- that's it.
