- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Virgin Tournament 2007!
That actually sounds even better than it did in my head. - curios, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3How about, also, storing your blood now for reinjection when you are elderly, giving yourself your own younger stem cells for rejuvanation in old age.

Don't even try and defend yourself. you are going down anyways.. - SaintStryfe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2MMMMM-mmmm, Stem Cells!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They seem to be the new "early adopter" company. Kind of reminds me of a company like liandri.
- seandfeeney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1you ripoff!....digg FarNorthMac down HARD!
- spinchange, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2what about the sockpuppet stem cells? enough of this human ***** already...
- SambekZX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One more subsidiary to add to the Virgin Group behemoth.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_Group - nixonrichard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, but "Virgin Stem Cells" . . . there's something "clean" about it. It's a lot better than those stem cells on the street giving birth to baby stem cells. There's nothing more sad than stem cells with stem cells.
- chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2There are already a bunch of these companies - CryoCell being one of biggest.
- CedEx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can't wait till Richard comes out with Virgin Escort services... awesome.
- spinchange, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1digg then bury. it's like raising before you fold...good strategy ~ fakes 'em out every time!!
- WanderLink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That Branson guy's got "Bond villian" written all over him.
- Bean945, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Virgin Virgins.
- mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually this makes a lotta sense.
Better get ahead of everyone... Should makeup for that Virgin mobile screwup. - hiscity, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cool! Also I hope they also store fertilized eggs and organs.
The fertilized eggs are obvious -- more kids. Why waste the extras?
The organs could be useful organs harvested from parents or other close relatives at or near their death. Though the organs may be old, when they can be stored for a few decades, they could be wonderful to have when the children also grow old -- and may be in need of replacement organs. (eyeballs, joints, kidney, that type of thing)
The nice thing about the Virgin group doing this is the possibility of flights to the moon via Virgin Galactic, where long term cryogenic storage would be cheaper.
I suppose, there's also the possibility of cloning the cells of your own organs and cryo-preserving them.
Come to think of it, all the going-deaf rockers need to store up their parents cochleas assuming they still could hear ok at their demise.
So yeah, Virgin's on to something quite interesting. Something that might add decades to our lives! - ovni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So are they going to launch the stem cells into orbit and take advantage of the freezing temperatures of space?
- dgrobinson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is part of a large and growing global market ---
http://www.american.com/archive/2007/january-0107/an-easy-cell/ - idigital, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Maybe this could lead to a Virgin birth!
- vednode, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3And now we know how Virgin Mary had Jesus.
- remnantsofjune, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0this stem cell stuff is bs. i'm burying it.
