- kiegh, on 11/27/2007, -1/+13I use garlic in just about every dinner I cook, from steak to thai chicken dishes to salad dressings. I even plan on having garlic in my garden whenever I get a house. This just gives me more of a reason aside from the amazing flavor.
- c0n724ll10n, on 11/27/2007, -0/+10Nothing like putting chopped garlic in a frying pan with olive oil and butter.

/Vampire - jburka, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4Actually, H2S has recently been shown to be a natural gaseous mediator in the body involved in inflammatory reactions, including pancreatitis. It also has important physiological roles including neuromodulation and vascular control. We have a number of short-lived gaseous mediators in our body, including nitric oxide (NO) ... which is an important vasodilator ... including penile erection!
- wreckosaurus, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4I actually work at the lab that did this study. You don't know what you're talking about.
- rainydaywoman, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3I like anything with loads of garlic in it. Pickled garlic is my favorite.
- spin-docta, on 11/27/2007, -2/+5I knew you could get bad breath from garlic, but didn't know your sweat would smell from eating too much of it!

- atticus8, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3Dihydrogen monoxide does not sound healthy. Nothing in your body "sounds" healthy. You're an excellent targeting for marketing, particularly marketing with the word "green" in it. Because green sure sounds healthy, for some rationally indefensible reason.
- fistikuffs, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3how about putting chopped garlic in a wok with olive oil and butter? That's pretty similar.
- Typhoon2009, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2Garlic is tastier in food than marijuana. It also, you know, isn't illegal D:
- Typhoon2009, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2love garlic
- bxzcd, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2For some reason, my roommates call me an ***** after I eat garlic...
- JMellissa, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2I LOVE garlic! My roommate complains that I smell like an asian. Who cares?
- tounchin, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2I don't know if you can get garlic breath just from rubbing an open clove of garlic into your armpits or bottoms of your feet, but I have actually tried this. I put an open clove on the bottom of my foot inside a sock and in about 20 min. I could taste garlic on my tongue. It's kinda weird how quickly your skin can absorb stuff.
- fugazied, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2I love my garlic too, pasta, pesto, in mexican food, bruschetta (spelling). I haven't had the flu in about 7 years, so maybe thats something to do with regular garlic intake.
- Waterrat, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2 As do I..In fact,I otfen say:"Everything is better with garlic and onions in it."
- zachshmack, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1/cringe at the yeast infection comment several pages down
- michaelpinto, on 11/27/2007, -2/+3You can purchase odor-free garlic pills at pretty much any health food store.
- kertong, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1You can also get garlic breath from rubbing an open clove of garlic into your armpits or bottoms of your feet. Don't ask me how I know this. ;)
- lalanis, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1How about removing butter, and keeping only the olive oil?
- paker, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Cut a piece of garlic and rub the oil on an ant, bee, wasp, or any other bug bite or sting and it stops hurting in about 30 seconds.
- 232430, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Tell that to a judge.
- 232430, on 11/27/2007, -1/+1And you working there proves the validity of the topic? Finding out that hydrogen sulfide may act as a cardioprotective agent, and then saying that eating something that again, may, increase the production of hydrogen sulfide does not sound like science to me. Yes, I do not fully comprehend what work is involved in your lab, but from the information provided to me this is the conclusion I came to. If, you did work on this, then I meant not to belittle your study, but it is hardly 'hard evidence' that I am presented with.
- solid12345, on 11/27/2007, -1/+1Garlic is alright, but kneel at the lake with the blue crystal and you will experience a whole new world.
- DarthDandruff, on 11/27/2007, -0/+0Kyolic is best! Supposedly garlic can kill all bacteria, viruses, and fungus on contact if enough is ingested.
- meantime, on 11/27/2007, -2/+2eat more kimchi
- dmoney22, on 11/27/2007, -4/+4"Weed has long been touted as a health booster, but it’s never been clear why the herb might be good for you. Now new research is beginning to unlock the secrets of the odoriferous bud." *
*Who gives a rat's ass about garlic. Research MARIJUANA! - TH3W1R3D, on 11/27/2007, -2/+1Now if they can just unlock the secret to odorless garlic...
- Livewire, on 11/27/2007, -3/+2Too much of anything is a bad thing, so try to relax a bit.
- ats314, on 11/27/2007, -1/+0thats debatable
- thinkingserious, on 11/27/2007, -7/+2Hydrogen sulfide does not sound healthy, neither does odoriferous bulb for that matter. In any case, overconsumption of garlic is an excellent way to ensure a night of "alone time"
- 232430, on 11/27/2007, -10/+1Pseudoscience at best.
