- sockpuppets, on 08/20/2008, -1/+29I season everything with bacon.
- Kumah, on 08/20/2008, -2/+20Yes, a dash of cayenne pepper on her pussy will definitely make her love you.
- algaeturd, on 08/20/2008, -1/+18I see what you were going for there but nobody puts spice on pussy to eat it and your wording made it a bit confusing and awkward.
- njunderground, on 08/19/2008, -8/+18how about sporty spice? rofl
- santaliqueur, on 08/20/2008, -2/+9Caffeinated bacon? Baconated grapefruit?
- RickHavoc, on 08/20/2008, -0/+7They forgot the king of healthy spices: Turmeric
http://www.healthdiaries.com/eatthis/20-health-ben ... - smyph, on 08/20/2008, -0/+5Use real onion and garlic, cut out the salt.
- algaeturd, on 08/20/2008, -2/+6Um, dude....the only reason people talk about salt being bad is because excess amounts can and will raise blood pressure. High blood pressure is one of the silent killers because it's detrimental to the heart. THAT is why salt is 'bad.'
Pepper causes no ill effects to the human body. There are theories that it can increase parietal secretions of hydrochloric acid but that's only a theory. And in fact, black pepper has many heath benefits....so many so that I'm surprised that it wasn't mentioned in this article.
What do you expect from Men's Health, though.
But yeah, there's a reason that doctors warn against high amounts of salt intake and it has specifically to do with high blood pressure. Just because they sit aside one another on the kitchen table doesn't mean that they are similar or related. - santaliqueur, on 08/20/2008, -1/+5There is this awesome new website where you type in search queries, and results are returned. Can't think of the name, might want to Google it.
- Kumah, on 08/20/2008, -1/+5you will never remember?
- ZackScott, on 08/20/2008, -3/+6Ha! Cinnamon. I will never remember the time my mom made lasagna with cinnamon instead of chili powder. It may have been really good for me, but it surely it didn't negate the bad effects of tons of cheese. Or the bizarre flavor. Man, there was a lot of cinnamon in there. It makes me take a step and think.
- abdo, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3thanks
- oveedrx, on 08/20/2008, -1/+4cinnamon + banana = drool
- qwertycopter, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3Are they talking about real cinnamon or the fake crap that most people call cinnamon?
- mareksoon, on 08/20/2008, -1/+4Take note: "ranch" is NOT on this list (nor should it be).
- Rudegar, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2odd that it don't mention that most these things would be more healthy fresh then dried and grinded and left in a spice-rack in direct sunlight for generations passed on from parent to child
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2WE'LL DO IT LIVE
- abdo, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2Enjoy your kidney stones.
- xonkonog, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2They forget Ginger too.
- cheap2, on 08/19/2008, -6/+8I love all of them
- VacantThoughts, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2STAND BACK, I'm going to try SCIENCE!
- inactive, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2Fatties whose diet consits primarily of gyros and cupcakes need a reason to feel hopeful. Like the people who eat 8 pieces of popeye's chicken and then wash it down with a diet coke.
- LogicBomB, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2You are the reason people think weed makes you dumb.
- shawnanigans, on 08/20/2008, -2/+4But chili powder isn't an ingredient in lasagna either.
- askantik, on 08/20/2008, -2/+4Just FYI, most things are "just a theory." Gravity and evolution are "just theories..." The term theory shouldn't be used lightly... maybe you meant hypothesis? Not to be a stickler, but we are talking about science here.
- raquel9e, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2You do realize that onion powder and garlic powder are just dried onion and dried garlic, right?
- m0neybags, on 08/20/2008, -1/+3Then you might like Bacon Salt!
http://www.baconsalt.com/ - siclik, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2Onion eaters live longer.
- lennybird, on 08/20/2008, -1/+3Cayenne, aka red hot chili pepper - is amazing on rice. As the article says, it speeds up the matabolism, is also a major immune booster and anti-inflammatory (acne, arthritis). Tastes amazing on chicken & rice.
- VileTimes, on 08/20/2008, -2/+4"Oregano - Sprinkle over pizza or add to pasta sauce; season poultry, rice, or meaty vegetables, such as eggplant and mushrooms. "
Buried for propagating the falsehood that mushrooms are vegetables, and not fungi. Doubly buried for not directly challenging vegetarians and vegans about the ethics of throwing out fungus encrusted vegetables and dumpster-diving one night stands. Triply buried for failing to promote the ethical fungetarian lifestyle, where a "no preservatives" indication on a bag of groceries is a guaranteed bushel of tastiness in a couple of weeks, made extra spicy if only global warming would kick in sooner than later. - santaliqueur, on 08/20/2008, -2/+4You will never remember? How did you remember?
- Zidul, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2i need a link to this! i cant find it anymore.
- borez, on 08/19/2008, -4/+5Everybody goes on about salt being bad for your health but... what about Pepper, nobody ever talks about pepper?
- aznpwnzor, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1Give my cayenne, pepper, and salt, and your everyday herbs and I'm set
- professorfurley, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2adobo ftw
- borez, on 08/20/2008, -3/+4Twas a joke, I kinda know why salt is bad for you, but thanks for the heads up.
;0) - borez, on 08/19/2008, -3/+4They're all old now.
Old Spice! - sinurgy, on 08/20/2008, -2/+3It's kinda sad but the article started with garlic and as I was reading the it I was giddy with anticipation on how exactly they were going to incorporate vampires. I just knew it was going to be sooo funny but nothing materialized other than the realization that I clearly read to much Cracked!
- ligyron, on 08/20/2008, -2/+3Unless I can go to the store and buy a 5-pack containing 50g of each of these spices, I'm not going to bother
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1Do you put ketchup on your ketchup?
- alexforcefive, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1it works, bitches.
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2Turmeric.
- AngelaQ, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1Not to mention fresh onions and garlic taste a lot better than the processed kind, and when you cut them up and cook them in a dish, you end up using more.
- MayaC, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1Cayenne pepper is especially yummy on eggs.
- jawix, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1cinnamon in chill will get you killed here in TEXAS
- newms32, on 08/20/2008, -0/+0They forgot salt. Sometimes I eat salt by itself as a snack.
- M724, on 08/20/2008, -1/+1Give me the cinnamon and the garlic, and forget about the rest. Well, except oregano. Save the onions. I'm not a fan.
- inactive, on 08/20/2008, -1/+1Yes, we all know how important it is to keep your daily uptake of salt and MSG at a maximum.
