- ScottMcIntyre, on 09/27/2008, -1/+16Some very useful tips. Number 1- "Master the power nap" seems particularly effective. Off to sleep soon then... "zzzz" :-)
QFA:"Taking a nap isn't calling it quits on getting energized—it's just running a quick defrag on your neural drive and rebooting." - inactive, on 09/28/2008, -2/+17Redbull, cocaine, meth...
- rsbryswrrl, on 09/27/2008, -0/+11Some of us happen to suck at napping - like me, I just can't do it. I always wake up feeling worse than when I went to sleep. How about supplements? 500mcg of B-12 a day is doing wonders for my energy levels.
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+7I stay energized with Powerthirst! It gives me gratuitous amounts of energy!

- Putrefaction, on 09/28/2008, -0/+4Dugg for Alton Brown.
- fjf314, on 09/28/2008, -0/+4I know how you feel, I'm the same way. If I nap, I'm guaranteed to feel absolutely horrible when I wake up. The only way to prevent it is to nap for about 4 hours, but then that isn't really a nap.
- albyliontk, on 09/27/2008, -0/+3I found this article very useful in particular number 3. Put your senses to work.
QFA:"If you're stuck at work after a rough night, chances are you'll be staring at a hypnotizing screen or look-alike paperwork and finding it hard to stay awake..... Try scenting awake with some essential oils or target the alertness-sparking stress points like your earlobes and the skin between your thumb and forefinger." - naugrim, on 09/28/2008, -0/+3"10. Make your own energy products"
When there is a home recipe for making Slurm, let me know. - metaliq, on 09/28/2008, -0/+3I really dug this "caffeine nap" idea.

- diemunkiesdie, on 09/28/2008, -0/+2I do that all the time, it really works great!
- TehMuff1nM4n, on 09/28/2008, -0/+2This article sounds usef

- Thorpe, on 09/28/2008, -0/+2Don't go to bed at stupid times like me. I'm still trying to figure out why I am typing at my keyboard at 3 AM right now.
- dtimoney, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Sleep, sleep, sleep - and keep active. Being active begets being active...

- MookiBlaylock, on 09/27/2008, -1/+2Mastering power naps can really help in everyday life. I sure wish I could do that when I partied on a work night and have to role in tired as hell.
- konataXchan, on 09/28/2008, -0/+1Coffee + Redbull = Worst tasting energetic drink ever, yet it keeps me going for 24 hours+ with no sleep.
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+1I have a serious exhaustion problem because from sun up till down, I'm in a library researching. I've taken naps, gotten to bed sooner, ate different foods, etc,. but you know what really works for me? Energy drinks, I don't care what kind, Red Bull or whatever, it'll give you a high for a couple of hours.
- cemetz, on 09/28/2008, -0/+1wow, common sense works!
- 4cdawgs, on 09/27/2008, -0/+0I love taking power naps.
- Dan11023, on 09/28/2008, -1/+1heroin FTW
- t3rmv3locity, on 09/28/2008, -1/+1I'm sick right now, so this story is suprisingly ironic...
- diemunkiesdie, on 09/28/2008, -1/+1Red Bull? Way to be a yuppie! Try some other energy drinks, I myself am partial to NOS more for its flavor than anything else. One thing that tastes amazing is Red Bull + Monster = Red Monster! Tastes amazing and will keep you going for a good 6 or 7 hours! (If these things are keeping you up 24 hours you are too sensitive. I've gotten desensitized to much of these so I drink 1 every 2 hours if I need to stay up to cram.)

One of my favorite tips is making our own energy revitalizing products. I love Alton Brown's recipes and now I won't have to waste money on unappetizing over-priced energy bars. - mdesbiens2532, on 09/28/2008, -0/+0Yeah, Crank always works for me, somebody got a lightbulb I can borrow for a while?
- Suicyc0, on 03/20/2009, -0/+0Exercise! Endorphins released from vigorous weight training can be VERY powerful. The only way to create an effective metabolic effect for losing weight is to stick with a sensible diet and EXERCISE!
