- pcpimpster, on 02/11/2009, -0/+11My goofy gym teacher showing our health class how to put a rubber on a banana will be etched in my mind forever.
- angusm, on 02/11/2009, -0/+9According to Tinbergen, the male stickleback builds a nest in the sand, using stringy pieces of algae and a substance that he secretes from his kidneys. He then changes color, and attracts the female to his nest by darting towards her and then veering towards the nest. Once the female has accepted the invitation and entered the nest, the male prods her near the base of the tail with his snout, to encourage her to lay eggs. He then fertilizes the eggs and guards them until they hatch.
I've tried following these instructions to the letter, but I have to say that they never worked for me. In my experience, many females are reasonably happy to go along with the prodding part, but they all steadfastly refuse to lay eggs. Perhaps the algae I found wasn't stringy enough, or maybe there's something wrong with the secretions from my kidneys? It's very confusing and quite discouraging. - supermanly, on 02/11/2009, -0/+6brisketplease, only nerds like you would comment on this. go out and meet some people instead of going on Digg and calling other people nerds.

- aduzik, on 02/11/2009, -0/+6I went to Catholic school. The extent of our sex education class was a single twelve minute video explaining that you might have bad skin and start noticing hair "down there". I wish I was kidding.
- ryan899, on 02/11/2009, -1/+6My lesbian gym teacher doing the same thing is etched in my mind forever.
- Hetman, on 02/11/2009, -0/+3I do not think Stickleback marrages are legal in the US.
- fackjoley, on 02/10/2009, -2/+5That article didn''t explain the mating habits of Sticklebacks. I am disapoint.

- cyberthief, on 02/11/2009, -0/+3i don't remember anything about sex-ed class except to never go near an un-wraped penis.... and that brains of teenage boys turn to goop when the words "penis" "sex" and "girls" are spoken out loud in class...
- MainManMoni, on 02/11/2009, -0/+3I thought this was very interesting:
"Although that was the case to some extent many of the early films were much more progressive in their attitude than later films".
These include Don't Be Like Brenda (1973) in which a pregnant teenager is ostracised by her family and friends, a punishment that does not happen almost forty years earlier to the girl who catches a sexually transmitted disease in A Test For Love (1937). - Suricou, on 02/11/2009, -0/+2Nothing yet, but I'll be watching.

- nhanceursexlife, on 10/29/2009, -0/+0Sex education or talking about sex is still considered as taboo especially in most of the developing countries. Though this is just the upper layer and what people see and hear the inner core is totally different.
- peenuts23, on 07/13/2009, -0/+0Sex,
a topic most discussed yet so much hidden in myths and superstition. This website aims to shed some light on it, expose myths, and educate you on the importance of safe sex.

- moose26, on 02/11/2009, -4/+3Banana's are not bad, but putting a condom on a cucumber by my sex-ed teacher in times past is indeed a lasting memory... especially when someone in my class asked why some folks use bananas and others use cucumbers for the demonstration.
I proceeded to reply something like this... "Well, most prefer to use cucumbers due to the ridges on them and how it allowed for a more enjoyable demonstration".
I got this blank stare for about a minute and then my teacher giving me a evil yet humorous glare. After class I was asked where I came up with my response.... I said something along the lines... from reading and advertising... aka Trojan adds about ribbed for their pleasure ... LOL - kcheet08, on 02/11/2009, -4/+3Lmao...I'm gonna be learning about this in HS this year!
