- baronvonnasty, on 01/27/2008, -3/+72Mississippi's Motto: "Come to our state so you can feel better about yours!"
- livejamie, on 01/27/2008, -3/+69Finally, an explanation for Global Warming.
- MattnJax, on 01/27/2008, -6/+72Damn, according to that map, pretty much the whole damn country is getting fatter and fatter. Back in ' 91 most of the nation was 10-14% obese. Now, most of it's 20-30%. I'd like to see a chart of McDonald's stock for that time period.
- DesignNerd, on 01/27/2008, -1/+66OH MY GOD! MY HEART!
- ALyken, on 03/25/2008, -7/+68This is where supersizing will get you
- anagoge, on 01/27/2008, -1/+57I blame Scientology.
- EmailAddress, on 01/27/2008, -0/+49Yo mama is so fat, her blood type is ragu.
- xb00t, on 01/27/2008, -1/+48This is just disgusting.
- upsidedork, on 01/27/2008, -1/+43Yeah that's when your mom moved out.
- dpv1, on 01/27/2008, -0/+38I think I'll go live in the Great Lakes.
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -4/+42Plenty of fat chicks in alabama for sure.
- Eslamicolt3, on 01/27/2008, -4/+42Cus Mississippi and Alabama are definitely among the wealthiest states in the nation
- Marcateyou, on 01/27/2008, -0/+35This is not funny. Many p-HHNNNNNNNNGGH
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -10/+42Uhhh Colorado trends Republican and its the least fat.
- 3tcp, on 01/27/2008, -8/+37Way to turn something that has nothing to do with politics into a brainless circle jerk of 'us good them bad' with the second post in the thread.
- spookyttws, on 01/27/2008, -1/+30"Bacon that SAUSAGE!!!"
- Goache, on 01/27/2008, -7/+34Why do people call obesity a disease? A disease is something a person cannot control. There were no overweight people 100 years ago...people are just lazy nowadays (and they eat too much)
- StanHayes, on 01/27/2008, -2/+29Sad.
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -2/+29For extra credit, compare this to maps of: poverty rates, race, political affiliation.
- highwebl, on 01/27/2008, -1/+25Which is indicative of the low quality of our food in general. Quality food does not need super-sugar to taste good.
- SpykerSpeed, on 01/27/2008, -0/+24If you need BMI to figure out if you're fat or not, then you're fat. Sorry.
- LLLSecretChimp, on 01/27/2008, -2/+25How many DVD players, big screen TVs and video games do fat people usually eat?
- yamyogurt, on 01/27/2008, -10/+33only if you don't factor in michael moore
- schnikies79, on 01/27/2008, -6/+29It's the lack of self discipline.
Most obesity is no one's fault but their own. - AriaStar, on 01/27/2008, -6/+28My BMI is 21.9 and I feel incredibly fat. How can people with so much more fat possibly thing it's okay to be so unhealthy?
- Hockey13, on 01/27/2008, -0/+22Yes, there are a bunch of fat people here. But lest our friendly chaps from across the pond somehow gain a sense of superiority, Britain is, as Jackie Gleason once said, tail grabbin our ass:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/hottopics/obesity/ - inactive, on 01/27/2008, -4/+26Translation: I am fat.
- crazywarthog, on 01/27/2008, -2/+22America has the fattest poor people in the world !
I get an A + ! - jibber11, on 01/27/2008, -5/+24The next time you watch a movie from the 80's like 16 candles or fast times at ridgemont high, take notice how skinny all the kids in the school and mall scenes, its amazing. The fat kids then, are the size of the normal kids now! Pretty sad.
- Retnuh730, on 01/27/2008, -0/+18OH SNAP
- fearlessfx, on 01/27/2008, -0/+18I was waiting for an extrapolation into 2010 where the entire country turns red lol
- TheSabre, on 01/27/2008, -6/+24And you Democrat are the asses. That's nothing to brag about.
- Devotia, on 01/27/2008, -0/+17You severely underestimate the power of denial.
- MadScientist440, on 01/27/2008, -0/+16Eww... waste lines... I don't think this story has anything to do with sewage.
- Smwbigboss, on 01/27/2008, -2/+18If everyone in your state is fat, I guess you stop noticing.
- Euler2718, on 01/27/2008, -0/+16People aren't forced to eat anything. Wal-mart kicks small businesses out of business because people would rather buy crap for less instead of buying moderate quality goods and food for slightly more money.
- baronvonnasty, on 01/27/2008, -18/+34Where does Walmart dominate? Not in a big city with democrats. Wal-Mart takes small business in small towns in rural states to the poor houses. People are forced to eat the bad ***** at Wal-Mart.
That's where I see all the fat people here in Mississippi, Wal-Mart. - wonderboy, on 01/27/2008, -0/+16http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=MCD&t=my
- Lith25, on 01/27/2008, -3/+18Really? Cause I find it quite the opposite. I can go to the store and buy healthy food for a week for around $20 or I can spend $6 a night eating fast food.
- honestlywhagwan, on 01/27/2008, -3/+17Mississippi FTW
- serverdown, on 01/27/2008, -2/+16Kansas actually lost weight between 1995 and 1997
- randomperson123, on 01/27/2008, -1/+15Uhh.... Go Colorado?
- bullox, on 01/27/2008, -5/+19Because Hollywood movies are completely indicative of society in general.
- tghd, on 01/27/2008, -0/+14Although you have a valid point it is being used incorrectly. The type of food that we eat isn't the only cause of the epidemic. It has to do with a whole lot of variables that have changed over the years. Food is more accessible, exercise isn't a requirement in our daily lives anymore, over eating is encouraged (huge portions you get at restaurants) etc. Since our lifestyle has changed we must change our diet in order to compensate.
