If you ask me, the so-called "New Thought Movement" is spearheaded by hippies-turned-yuppies, who traded their tie-dye for real estate jobs. Now they feel guilty about selling out their ideals for big houses, so they try to reconcile it by concocting notions like the "Law of Attraction"—that money somehow equates to 'spiritual transcendence'.
