- TheRealness, on 01/15/2009, -7/+36Digg this if you're not fat.
- Cancerkitty, on 01/14/2009, -0/+22Detroit isn't on the list? I demand a recount!
- badqat, on 01/14/2009, -0/+22Way to represent Louisville!
- AmyVernon, on 01/14/2009, -0/+21Philly didn't even make the Top 10? That's a change.... But No. 1 kind of surprised me, and I lived in the region for 7 years...
- sbcea, on 01/14/2009, -0/+17Don't you call me pudgy, portly or stout
Just now tell me once again ... who’s fat? - xsecretfiles, on 01/15/2009, -1/+17It's SODA not POP
- swmbuk, on 03/30/2009, -1/+17Isn't this based on how many bad shops (ones selling junk food) there are and how many sport based uses of land?? I don't see any figures relating to BMI or weight....
Seems stupid to say Miami has more ice cream shops, of course it ***** has!
EDIT: Right I double checked still seems no mention and is based on whatever the editors felt like, this is garbage.... Somebody find a real study! you know one of those fancy SCI-EN-TIII-FIC ones... - Trollbane, on 01/15/2009, -0/+15On close inspection, I believe you will find Califonia is a state and not a city.
- LexWalk, on 01/14/2009, -1/+14Whoa...this list must be erroneous. Chicago has and always will rank in the top 10 - nevermind the top 25. And yet - it's nowhere to be found here. Especially when you consider that NY made it in despite having fitness clubs on every block.
What's going on here? - njunderground, on 01/14/2009, -0/+12better start eating
- ihavebeenseen, on 01/15/2009, -0/+12Everything is bigger...
- Cancerkitty, on 01/14/2009, -0/+11Oh don't you worry; I'm doing my part.
- inactive, on 01/14/2009, -0/+11I thought Cleveland would have been in the top 10.
- valkyries, on 01/15/2009, -0/+10the only reason I dugg this story was because it was not spread out over 25 different pages. One page people
- lisaawesome, on 01/14/2009, -0/+10Heck yes Oklahoma City got number 2. Thank you my fellow residents for being fatasses :D This last year there was some city effort coordinated by the mayor to get residents to lose a million pounds and it failed. The people who participated only lost about a quarter of a million.
- reallytempting2, on 01/14/2009, -0/+10So let me get this right. These are cities I can go to and feel thin ... awesome!
- lisaawesome, on 01/14/2009, -1/+11It's just my genetics *scarfs entire bag of cheetos*
- jamwil87, on 01/15/2009, -0/+9[citation needed]
- manzplan, on 01/14/2009, -4/+12I am thin and have always been thin, I know a lot of people say its a "gladular" problem... but then you see them with huge plates of food - so how can it be "glandular"
also if you need to be drinking DIET pop - you shouldnt be drinking Pop at all! - sbcea, on 01/14/2009, -0/+8San Francisco is actually #12 on their Fittest list. So the hills worked.
- inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+8Where's Milwaukee up in there? Even the Simpsons agreed on that.
- woofers07, on 01/15/2009, -0/+8I guess that explains why the south hasn't risen again.
- snareguy17, on 01/15/2009, -0/+8I live in Las Vegas. ***** this, I'm going running right now, and will follow it up with a nice cheeseburger.
- Seann7656, on 01/15/2009, -0/+8Damnit. And Your fat-ass city took our Seattle Sonics.
- ThisURLNotFound, on 01/15/2009, -3/+10Ughh... It gates on me to hear someone say "pop". That is such an awful word for a drink. Pop is a noise, not a drink. Say soda or coke like the rest of the civilized country.
- absurdist, on 01/15/2009, -3/+10#3, San Antonio.
#6, Houston
#7, El Paso
#14, Dallas-Ft.Worth
Can we please let Texas be independent now? - LemonHerb, on 01/14/2009, -1/+7No California? That surprised me.
- China08, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6Detroit, MI: World PvP zone.
- lolmax, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6wtf milwaukee? not even cracking the top 25? I'm ashamed!
- MCCULLAH, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6same about milwaukee, i thought we were fat ass mother *****.....
everyone else must be monsters - lolmax, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6hey! thats one of the places they mentioned!!!
- Benno, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6I think that just discourages walking bike riding.
- inactive, on 01/14/2009, -0/+6What with all the hills you'd think people would excersize more
- xsecretfiles, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6That's my first thought. Here I was afraid of visiting Florida in a bikini...hahah
- BeesKnees21, on 01/15/2009, -1/+6Their list of Fittest cities is also interesting: http://www.mensfitness.com/lifestyle/217
- mycoplasma, on 01/15/2009, -0/+5No you aren't. You're leaving a comment on digg right now.
- PiRATE7, on 01/15/2009, -1/+6NY wouldnt even be on the list if it wasnt for Rosie O'Donnell
- ryeno, on 01/14/2009, -1/+6Don't worry San Francisco came in 12th. We'll do better next year.
- driftwood07, on 01/15/2009, -0/+5i dont see how Mississippi isnt on here either. its the fattest state but doesn't have one of the fattest cities?
- emyo, on 01/15/2009, -1/+6I like your diet pop line.
I am relatively thin and I never buy anything with DIET on it. Sugar is just replaced with chemicals anyway! - inactive, on 01/14/2009, -0/+5Way to represent New York guys!
- inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+5New York just got a little less fat after my fat ass spent an hour of soccer training in the freezing air, is it bad that after a grueling session all I want in the world is to eat bacon?
Besides my fat ass the survey is rubbish as New York is easily one of the skiniest cities in America, the commute is long - less time to eat! Why are there so few sporting goods stores or pools? Cause it has the most exensive real estate in the world, do you expect everyone to have a pool in their apartment? The least they could have done is looked at the statistic that New York has more gyms per square mile than anywhere else! - doctorbasic, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4Philly isn't fat.
I've never seen so many 'fit' mother in my life.
Usually it's the moms that get all pudgy after childbirth. - Boing, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4Oooh, look at Colorado Springs at #2 fittest. We were #1 last year. I'll take the blame for the drop. I had a couple few baconators.
- dougs55, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4San Jo was only #15 ? I realized Ohio and Kentucky were probably ahead of us but it looks like I should get out more.
- jts10, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3I dugg him for "you're"
- TheMishap, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4Texas represent!
- fictionalOne, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4San Antonio here. Skateboarding saved my life! Was a chubby little 12 year old. Still thin now in my thirties. There's few skateparks too, but getting a little better soon.
- Nistelrooy, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4At least Detroit isn't the worst at everything...
