I think it warrants at least an honorable mention since the people selling it seem to make enough money to keep showing commercials. Why anyone in their right mind believes a short unclosed band of steel cable with balls on the ends will make you healthier is beyond me.

- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It is not a total waste of money really. Those things are gret for muscle pain . Just not muscle building. I got a TEMS unit which is basically the same thing when I was hit by a drunk driver while bicycling and had severe tissue damage in my back that bothers me 5+ years later. I don't use it as much anymore, but every once in awhile I will have enough pain to dig it out of hte closet and put it on and it is nice.

She needs the exercise... - Aatem, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Actually one of these inventions does kind of work... I tried the power plate, well something very similar called vibra train at my gym. I was on a workout schedule already though (i was getting ready for an overseas trip with the dreaded bikini) so im not sure exactly how much it affected me, but the increased blood flow seemed to make my nails grow faster and the skin on my thighs smoother... After 6 months eating mainly veg and meat and fruit and lifting weights every second day, after about a month with the vibra train I was 130lb with no cellulite.
