2. Mr Jason Szep is retarded. How the ***** does one discover a 'cream'? The active ingredient goes into an appropriate chemical constitution that becomes a cream.
Maybe I'm too picky but "Scientists say they have discovered a cream"... for ***** sake, was the 'cream' in a little plastic bottle growing on a tree when they discovered it? - VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Sometimes I feel like the only person who thinks that tans are unattractive.
- ravenmuffin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yes, it's strange that we're cultured to think tanned skin is healthy, when in fact it represents prematurely aged skin that is potentially carcinogenic.
The tanning process is a defense mechanism to stop further UV radiation traveling deeper where it can damage cell structure.
While a certain amount of sunlight is essential for vitamin D production, this exposure (10-20 mins twice a week, depending on your latitude) doesn't have to be high enough to trigger the tan response.
(There's a big difference from being pasty white - which is unhealthy for bones and general wellbeing - to being tanned.)
Thus a tan indicates the person has been exposed to damaging UV radiation which could potentially give rise to tumorous cells later in life, but at the very least will cause premature aging of the skin and wrinkles.
So why are we trained by the celebrity pages that this is attractive? - br0ck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I wonder if this blocks vitamin D production, especially since vitamin D deficiency can be much more harmful than skin cancer. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2005-05-21-doctors-sunshine-good_x.htm
- Humzaseo, on 01/01/2009, -0/+1Today the fasion of tannin has been more common as compare to the past, there is a great care required in extrem sun hours due the present uvb and uva radiation in sunlight, http://www.trusera.com/health/journals/anne/journa ...
- TheDrunkMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I always think that whenever I see those commercials that say "scientists have discovered a pill that burns fat!" It really would be something else if scientists went digging around finding pills and sampling them to see what they do.
- mattyxo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"No dangerous side effects" But there were side effects...? Just not dangerous ones? What, does it make you have uncontrollable *****? ... at least you look good doing it...
- TheDrunkMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Everything has side effects. Some (explosive diarrhea) are obviously more serious than others- this apparently does not have any that bad.
- eternity0, on 09/22/2009, -0/+1I'm all in favour of tanning mice, makes them look so cute don't you think.
How the hell do they do that, shave off their fur? More animal experiments that should be banned. if people want skin cancer then that's up to them, they know the risks. http://www.foracnenomore.com/ - Chongo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1brought to you by the Tanning Council of America
- jblade, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Freckles no more!
- kettlechips, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Put them in the sun.
- milagros82, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hy guys. I was reading about the skin structure and skin cancer on some website few moments ago, and I want to tell you I don't trust these creams. Skin is a very complex organ and I don't believe some cream is enough protection for skin cancer. Please inform yourself before get exposed to the sun with that cream. I will give you a start hint: http://www.skin-disorders.info
- kettlechips, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Yeah okay Casper.
- sapo916, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Mr. Anal Wording
1. It doesnt matter
2. Get the ***** over it - LucasVB, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3Nooo, let people be pale! Pale skin is sexy!
- LucasVB, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2No way, I'm with you there. And tan-lines are hideous, too.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Of course you could go down the other road and be white as a ghost :D
- Salmonized, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0"What happened?? Looks like you've seen a ghost"......
