- Garlik, on 01/12/2009, -6/+36Yeah, but you can view Dane Cook in all 50 states. What's the federal government gonna do about that?
- inactive, on 01/12/2009, -1/+29Salmonella sounds like a pan-fried fish with a lemon zest.
- inactive, on 01/12/2009, -0/+23They can have my Reese's Cups when they peel them from my cold, fat, sweaty, dead hands.
- darkhero, on 01/12/2009, -0/+21I just ate Peanut butter and live in Minneasota.
- RaveGamer, on 01/12/2009, -1/+18Oh crap, I just had PB&J yesterday...
- jcroweall7, on 01/12/2009, -1/+12I'm still surprised there's no federal law barring him from signing on to movies.
- syda, on 01/12/2009, -1/+12Nutella FTW!
- Benno, on 01/12/2009, -0/+10Bad chicken can give you salmonella so it's reasonable that bad salmon may give you chickenella.
- BellaVitaGirl, on 01/12/2009, -1/+11Peanut butter is DELICIOUS.
- mcsenget, on 01/12/2009, -0/+9I'm eyeing some peanut butter right now.
- greeniemeani, on 01/12/2009, -1/+9Oh man, I hope my dog is going to be okay!
- UnarmedHippo, on 01/12/2009, -1/+8that would explain why my dog has salmonella
- ryan83189, on 01/12/2009, -1/+8Why are you posting on digg? There are tragedies to end and diseases to cure!
- CDollars, on 01/12/2009, -0/+7Well....looks like you're *****.
- Thequestion, on 01/12/2009, -1/+7Actually somebody died near where I live after the dog bit it off when it was covered in peanut butter. The more you know.
- Hawk117, on 01/12/2009, -1/+7Same. But, if you read the article, we don't have much to worry about-
"The product apparently is not sold in grocery stores, but is distributed in Minnesota to long-term care facilities, hospitals, schools, universities, restaurants, delis, cafeterias and bakeries."
-Assuming you did not eat peanut butter from one of those sources, of course. - inactive, on 01/12/2009, -1/+7Do not make eye contact with it, play dead and it will leave you alone.
- inactive, on 01/12/2009, -2/+8This is why I stick to processed meat when it comes to sandwiches
- pegothejerk, on 01/12/2009, -5/+10It doesn't count if just your dog licked it up.
- alittleroy101, on 01/12/2009, -1/+6The last time there was a peanut butter recall, I was watching the news and eating peanut butter by the spoonful out of a jar. When they read off the brand, which I was eating, and then the manufacturing code I got nervous. I still had a mouthful of peanut butter when I confirmed that I was eating from a recalled jar. I've been nervous about pb ever since.
- inactive, on 01/12/2009, -1/+6Don't worry, that's not real peanut butter.
- chriscalifornia, on 03/31/2009, -1/+6And what... that makes us friends or something?
- inactive, on 01/12/2009, -1/+5Thank God. I about had a third heart attack.
- barryiggins, on 01/12/2009, -1/+5...or Hollywood's latest hot couple:
Salma Hayek & a giant bowl of vanilla ice cream - charmaniac, on 01/12/2009, -1/+5From the article:
"Minnesota officials did not immediately identify the company that manufactures the peanut butter or say where else it is distributed."
"State officials urged establishments that have the product to avoid serving it, pending further instructions as the investigation progresses."
And how would these establishments do that if the State has not yet identified the company that manufactures the peanut butter or said where else it is distributed???? - rescu911, on 01/12/2009, -1/+4Wait ... people actually buy peanut butter brand named King Nut?
- greenanator, on 01/12/2009, -1/+4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1d8MTE7Hnk
- ophello, on 01/12/2009, -1/+4Actual tragedies aren't interesting enough to people.
- pinkukeftw, on 01/12/2009, -1/+4Not the number one sandwich now, are you?
- vsujohn2, on 01/12/2009, -1/+4Or the name of a local mom and pop restaurant "Sam and Ella's"
Which it actually is...
http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-18577919R-sa ... - inajeep, on 01/12/2009, -0/+3FTA : "Most people develop diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps 12 to 72 hours after infection. The illness usually lasts four to seven days, and most people recover without treatment."
Even if it was bacon related, I'd risk it. - DC2600, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3DIdn't Minnesota officials figure out the cause to the last outbreak?
- rjhomuth, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Thank God I'm allergic.
- unknownpoltroon, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Maybe this is why I almost crapped my pants today.
- Tehrab, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3My toilet bowl is anxious.
- marshallpeck, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Chunky or creamy?
- Swordman554, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Didn't this already happen before?
- Rubymaan, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3What the hell do you mean a "Peter Pan peanut butter alert"?
- CDollars, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Nutella + PB is even better.
- hartley, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2Does every set of comments need at least one comment about how good bacon is and one comment about how bad Dane Cook is?
I almost miss the days of soviet russia jokes and asking if it will blend. - jh4rms, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3i bet our government has something to do with it
- Samburger, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Is there anything we can feel safe eating in this country anymore?
- buckrogers1965, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Is this similar to how they thought tomatoes were to blame for food poisoning last year? When they weren't?
It is very irresponsible for people to speculate on the source of contamination without hard evidence. - ophello, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3Don't eat the peanut butter, there's eyes in it.
- spyd3rweb, on 01/12/2009, -1/+3I wonder if Senator Daschle received any peanut butter.
- Goodanswer, on 01/12/2009, -1/+2Anything that you can grow then "can" yourself. I had to learn from my grandmother how but, in the middle of winter with fresher homemade canned goods and also a root cellar I have fresh fruit and vege's with my meals the whole winter and I dont have to pay for it or worry about salmonella poisoning as a side helping.
True peanut butter is a different story but you do get what you pay for, and I have never heard of "King Nut." - Mujokan, on 01/12/2009, -1/+2In your face, crazy Christian YouTube guy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZFG5PKw504 - dissipatedfog, on 01/20/2009, -0/+1Peanut butter is to Americans what Vegemite is to Australians. Most of us love it, couldn't live without it, but according to several of my friends who aren't from the U.S., it's disgusting. I feel the same way about Vegemite, eww, but every Australian I've met grew up on it and loves it.
