- Sol3mn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+53I scored a 28...but I was quasi-expecting that. Definitely....definitely quasi-expecting that.

- vuke69, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23I would tend to agree.
I scored 40, but I doubt I have Aspergers, I'm just a typical anti-social computer geek. - limpl0uie, on 10/10/2007, -3/+26Hey! ***** you test! just because I don't like people doesn't mean I'm autistic!
- mythin, on 10/10/2007, -5/+26i like turtles.

- vuke69, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I have Altruistic Testicles
- NoOneButMe, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12Apparently i scored the same as someone with Aspergers Syndrome. *shrugs*
- DaffyDuck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9What's the 2nd stage after denial?
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Look me in the eyes and say that!

- vuke69, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Trick question. Everyone knows they have NO competition in the underwear department.
- Darmichar, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11I scored a 30. I never realized anti-socialism == Autism. That's pretty much what the questions of this quiz lead you to believe.
- thundacracka, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Aspies are the future of the human race. Don't be mad because you are behind the evolutionary curve.
- edwartica, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Whoa, and 503 is the area code for Portland, Oregon!!!
- flashingcurser, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7People commonly misuse the term "antisocial". A person who is antisocial is NOT the shy kid who didn't go to the prom. An antisocial person is someone who set off a bomb at a prom.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisocial - CravenTwain, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8No. It means you're bi-polar and in your manic phase.
- joe7845, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7In other words, "I'm different. That sucks because I normally discrimate against those who are different with adjectives such as 'tard."
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I also agree.
I scored a 39. I also happen to be 38. Some of this stuff is just typical "middle-aged male" issues. Once we're set in our ways we don't like things to change. - vuke69, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Socially inept != retarded
We just have different priorities than the rest of humanity. - rhabd0mancer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8The original questionnaire from Newsweek:
http://www.msnbc.com/modules/newsweek/autism_quotient/default.asp - Randomprophit, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10I'm an above average autistic. Livin the dream
- bigteebo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10I scored a 28. Only slightly Assbiter's Syndrome.
- najdorf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6You suck! Get your ass out of Digg NOW!
- joe7845, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Yet, while conventional wisdom says that self-diagnoses are unreliable, there is no study that proves they are. I actually think it would be rare for someone to go around calling themselves autistic if they are not at least close to autistic.
The are studies on the AQ test. For example, one found that those who score above 32-33 generally meet DSM-IV criteria, and 60% meet threshold criteria for a diagnosis.
Just for the record, I score 37 or 38 usually. And I have been told by a psychiatrist that I indeed appear to be autistic (although without a thorough evaluation) and there are other autistic people in my family (one diagnosed). - billmill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Question 51: Do you prefer K-Mart underwear to the competition?
- YossarianDent, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yes - apparently not liking people is now a disease. Three cheers for political medicine!
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yes-- unhappy with their lives due to excruciating muscle and joint pain, depression, sleep disturbances...whiny babies.
- vuke69, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4So when exactly did I equate retardation with inferiority? I was merely disassociating Aspergers(at least the high profile social aspect) from retardation.
But since you mentioned it, retardation = mental inferiority, that's not a bias, thats a fact. However retardation != general inferiority, at least in my book.
Case in point, I'm sure you're a really great guy, retardation and all. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4means an agent is on the way
- fleury29, on 10/10/2007, -3/+729...Thats the first thing I ever scored above average on :P
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+437. No one who knows me will be surprised by that.
(lining up all my toys...) - geekwithsoul, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yeah, I scored a 30 as well, but having experienced major social anxiety as a child, this doesn't really surprise me. Besides, people suck :)
- ToadLeg, on 10/10/2007, -5/+912. BTW Aspergers is *****; anybody who isn't Mr/Mrs popular who knows all the current social trends who decides to act like a completely "normal" (read:awesome) person, can be considered to have Aspergers, given its incredibly vague definition. This is not benign; I've known several people who's parents (who, of course, think there MUST be something wrong with their children) find out about Aspergers, and seeing that their child seems to fall under its definition (as does everyone else on the planet), they use it as ammunition against their child. Without consulting a doctor, they can simply tell their teachers that they have some "autism, but not really serious autism, but still some brain disorder". They can get them into "special needs" groups and programs. They can try to convince their actually normal child that they have some brain disorder, and generally ***** with their life.
- flashingcurser, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Mental illness/wellness and IQ are not explicitly tied together, but in your case using words like "tard"..... I'm not so sure.
- trevorel, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5This weeks New Yorker had a story written by someone with Asperger's Syndrome. Seems that if you want to be a good scientist or artist you must have a touch of autism in there.
- joe7845, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I obviously don't know about your individual circumstances, but I know of autistic people who initially think it sucks, but then learn to see autism in a more political way, rather than a medical one, and things change.
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I only got 14--but I was so busy counting the question numbers, I got distracted.
- emjaymj, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Um... Aspergers can be pretty serious. The problem you're describing has nothing to do with Asperger's so much as it has to do with the fact that parents forget what it's like to be a kid and, considering themselves experts because they saw an episode on Oprah once, diagnose their children themselves without consulting a doctor. Even the doctors can be too eager to diagnose sometimes, but that doesn't make it *****.
- jhshukla, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3if you get 503 that many times, perhaps your score is 503.
