I love being able to go out without having my hair smell like smoke for two days (that's WITH shampooing). But I do feel like we're infringing on a basic right here. The right for people to be idiots and do dangerous things. I hate the phrase, but slippery slope comes to mind. Smoking has secondhand side effects. But arguably so does drinking, especially when you take into account the number of accidents caused by drunk driving. So does that mean another Prohibition? For our own good? I wish we could get rid of cigarettes, from a public health standpoint, but at some point you have to let your constituents slowly kill themselves, whether you like it or not.
