- zjordan04, on 10/14/2007, -4/+82I hate to be a bitch, but I don't get it.
I understand what they did...it's just I get the feeling like "Hey I could have done that. Except I didn't. Because that would have been a waste of time." - Armor1901, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26I was expecting to see some kind of road map imprinted over a naked chick.
I was disappointed. - Memnochxx, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21This is stupid.
- minnymoo, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19ahem, what?
- palatka, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Right down there between gluttony and delusion
- jguy584, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13This is just lame.
Would be cool if the image was big enough to actually read all the stuff written on it. - directedition, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Is it just me? Or is Utopia the firefox logo?
- Anthem26, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12Further proof that the world is flat!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9what like working in a cubicle filling out crap on a computer or flipping burgers.
- UncleBadTouch, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12Why are faith and Wisdom on the same island?
- Dysarthria, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Amazing how people will fill their day with useless activities.
- jaymzdean, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8I'm sorry, I don't know what the hell this is.
- beyondinfinity, on 10/10/2007, -6/+11It's a sad day when creativity and ingenuity is brought with trite criticism and indifference. I think its a very novel idea, and quite an interesting way of expressing the human condition in its totality.
- rstarr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Anyone know how much apartments in Lust go for now-a-days..?
Just uh...curious, for research purposes... - exoendo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6this is one of those things that is really stupid but no one has really taken a step back to realize it.
- statiktv, on 10/10/2007, -7/+11already down. alt pic in the meantime: http://www.jtillustration.com/fineart/09.gif
- inhaler, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Time is the only thing we can't buy more of.
No one has time. - erkokite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4It would be nice if I could see it.
- SilverBlade2k, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8this would have been better with a map of our world, not of a fake one..
- shadowmoose, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I don't get it.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5... it would be the furthest away from that place.
- sparf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I guess I should have said "Time is an illusion, lunch time, doubly so."
- tenaciousdino, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3"abomination" is the biggest part. thats kinda depressing cause i think it might be true.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Site is lagging hard http://m3.bestpicever.com/piles/?s=humanitymap
- christoast, on 09/04/2008, -1/+4War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I'm sure everyone is really glad that this reinforces your particular belief systems, and gives you the frisson of arrogance that comes with patronizing the ***** out of everyone else. For the rest of us who don't get off on illusory feelings of superiority, it is just a fantasy map with relatively arbitrary placings of definitions which have no meaning because there's no context.
- ChrisAlbon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3If only I still played AD&D... great world map.
- Yeyui, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3WOW! So if this had been based on the creative work of someone else it would mean something but since it IS a creative work its worthless?
- josho, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4linkinn.com, a beautiful sea of advertisements marked by the occasional image! thumbs down. we're not begging for mirrors; we can afford to be choosy.
- USAyesterday, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The land of "Greed" is far too small. In today's world, "Greed" would have represented almost half of the land mass represented. Many of the "ills" of humanity stems from GREED!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I think this map's idea is wonderful: a thoughtful emotional geography. Upon close inspection of the map I find the author's placements of virtues and vices to be fascinating, revealing and surprising. I'm not surprised at the many ignorant and uninformed criticisms of this map, people get very nervous when they realize their chosen mental neighborhood is not as desirable as they previously thought.
- SlamShut, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4I had a similar reaction. I looked at the picture and thought "This is a what now? Pertaining to...?"
Is this related to some graphic novel or other? I couldn't tell. And I read graphic novels. I've even got a couple of Slave Labor's books... Milk and Cheese are ***** classic, man.
But I don't really understand this. - OneLess, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I also get the feeling that it would be more interesting if you could actually see more detail than the major "continent" names and such. Though on the whole, I'm still not dishing out $30 for this poster.
- phrozenfearz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I bought the map.
- BlackOp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Because these guys (or this guy if it's only one person) go around spamming their site in thousands of threads. This one is a new account, but as of now, predictably, all of his comments contain links to his sites.
http://www.neaveru.com/digg/stats/YRREY - nlevend, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Latin: Utopia=perfect place/no place....nuff said
- mason55, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4I don't understand, where is America?
- jgzman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3For the same reason that Wisdom and Reason are separate continents.
- RansomDenton, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2One thing I fond interesting is the base or less desirable states, of being and geographical, are all south. I have been noticing that the south sides of towns are the "bad" or high crime rate sides. I also have noticed in many, not all, major towns the south side is the poorer side, the least built up side and the worst school side of many towns/cities. I know some of this comes from some towns having the ports in the southern sector but even in land locked towns the same is evident. I hope someone does a thesis on it and finds some answers. It just seems odd that this mythical map shows the same. I wonder if it is from the Christian semi belief that Heaven is above and hell below. IDK.
- Rachmaninoff, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"As you can see, the Lifeline is controlled by two polar extremes: 'Fear' and 'Love'. Fear is the negative energy spectrum. Love is in the positive energy section."
...
"Excuse me? 'No duh' is a product of fear." - aMeta4, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2This map is made up of hundreds of beliefs/assumptions/judgments made by the authors.
That they call this the "Map of Humanity" is arrogant.
I may have dug it if the title were "Map of an Opinion of Humanity" - BRK2007, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Wow Hate, Bigotry, and Delusion all in one sentence. I think I can see your house on the map.
- rune420, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Why is pride placed in such a bad neighborhood?
- oneoverzero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1or iceweasel :)
- bdbr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1...and dangling under faith is "Eros" (lust, love, and intercourse). Very odd neighbors.
- clarkefreak, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2wha?
- acdcfanbill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Between Wisdom and Reason Islands, lies Utopia Atoll.
- mco5t9, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Some better ones

http://www.jtillustration.com/fineart/Love_Libidinous.gif - Okiweb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1WTF ? Hedonism on the same island as hate and abomination ?
This guy should check out what hedonism is ... - twotimesthru, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This would make more sense if we could see the whole thing at its full resolution. Otherwise, it just looks like a lame map of continents with emotions on it.
