- allaboutdatiki, on 10/10/2007, -6/+79You'd think you'd see more smiles in a toy factory. :(
- Xeruc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+52OK, this probably isn't a prison. First of all the "Author" never gives any evidence to back up that this is a Prison. It's probably just a normal Chinese toy factory. The author wants to get the point across that factory work in China is LIKE prison (it probably is).
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+32So thats where my lead comes from :) - Mirror @ http://m3.bestpicever.com/piles/?s=chinesetoyfacto ...
- JonnyTrombone, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27Yeah- getting you to look at this sensationalist (read: fake) "story" gets the website tons of money.
- ashwinmudigonda, on 10/10/2007, -3/+29You know it could be the opposite - chinese toy factory is a prison. seriously, no difference. please, make a habit of finding where the product came from and asking yourself, if you see it was made in china, if you "need" it or "want" it. only you - the customer - can control china.
- moktoipas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20"Chinese prison is a toy factory"
and Chinese factory are prisons - jaccas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19what proves this is a prison?
- Stradenko, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Damn criminals stealing all my jobs!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20.............wow....people blame the western world for this crap...but in reality, didn't these people line up to go get that job??? rather than suffer on the failing revenues of farming?? sure people say that its terrible, but historically didn't every westernized nation go through the same thing?
- diizy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18This article is a dupe and is completely innacurate, its NOT a prison, just to be clear.
- Otto, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19I don't get it. What's so bad about these pictures? They look healthy and active, for the most part. It's better than sitting in a cell.
Okay, so they were likely incarcerated for something I would not consider a crime, but that's true even for most of the US prison population. - scorceze, on 10/10/2007, -7/+23its all economics
- FrankieB078, on 10/10/2007, -7/+23Those people probably get paid pennies or nothing to make ***** that nobody needs so some rich fat white man can get more rich and buy more useless ***** for his daughter that takes naked pictures of herself and puts them on the internet.
I feel sorry for humanity. - JonnyTrombone, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16These are just pictures of a Chinese toy factory that have already been submitted to digg. It isn't a prison in the criminal sense, though it might be a ***** place to work.
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -7/+20I've always felt we should do something similar with our huge prison population. Put them to work. It'd be a way of them earning their keep.
- Tyorant, on 10/10/2007, -7/+19Apparently, 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable is behind the "Made in China" label attached to Chinese toys. :(
- PecanHead, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Who are you? Willy Wonka?
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12I just took another look at the page. Nowhere does it say this is in a prison or that the people on the photos are prisoners. Am I missing something here?
- chyya, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11whoa whoa whoa, this is digg.com. no need to use logic on here.
- waz67, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10This was dugg a couple of weeks ago, without the word "prison", which it isn't. And the first set of pictures also included the shots with employees smiling, which this set leaves out. A toy factory is an assembly line. What the heck do you expect an assembly line to look like? Even the pic with the people sleeping under their desks isn't that bad. Hell, I slept under my desk a couple of times when I worked for a software company here in Canada.
- FarEastKilla, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Oh no the horror! All the murder, rapist, scumbags in China doesn't get their HBO and weight lifting rooms. NEWS FLASH In the rest of the world, people goto prison to get punished. PAYING BACK THE SOCIETY. Look @ China's crime rate per capita much lower than the rest of the WORLD, the return rate is almost none, why? because prison is a deterrence NOT a FREE place to stay unlike here in the US, where repeat offenders keep on going back, and why not free food and HBO and NO WORK! the living condition of our prison system is better than some 3rd world countries.
- Lust4Me, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7What does the title have to do with these photos? Are we supposed to accept this is a jail or was this a missed translation.
Could just be another factory in some Asian country as far as I'm concerned - buried. - soulonice, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7huh? This looks like a factory/warehouse. Nothing prison-ish about it at all.
Somebody's trying to be inflammatory. - pistoleto, on 10/10/2007, -13/+20very clean
I thought there was dirty - cloudyprison, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7A man chooses, a slave obeys!
- bdurkin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I like the one of the woman holding the guns...kinda gangstah
- diggitydoc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7those Mini Hummers look awesome!
- tehxen3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Aww, one or 2 of those girls are kinda cute...
- AeroSquid, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5this was submitted with a different headline a while back... that is not a prison. buried for inaccuracy.
- zyklon, on 10/10/2007, -7/+12It's not a bad idea on how to pass time in a prison system.
- hans863, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5this isdeff not a prison. this is an ordinary factory in china. it is not bad at all. those people could also become farmers or barbers or anything else. this is just the easiest way to make money for them. i was in china for 5 months and i promise you there are are worse job than this (bottle collectors, hedgecutters, paper-recyclers, etc, etc).
- jscozzari, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7these are the same pictures from another digg story: http://digg.com/offbeat_news/Photos_from_Toy_makin ...
and as a person who has been in many, this does not look much dif or worse than a lot of them in the US - pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6so when there is a labor shortage in the prison system, just round up some more free labor? thanks to the war on drugs, we have too many people in prison for non-violent offenses as it is. we don't need to give them more incentive to imprison people.
- Ghstfce, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5That one lady holding the pistols is definitely holding them the wrong way trying to look "gangsta".
- isuisorisuaint, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8wtf repost? prison? http://digg.com/offbeat_news/Photos_from_Toy_makin ...
- onimusha115, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Your argument makes not sense. Education and wealth make you attractive? I have seen ugly educated/rich people before, as well as attrative girls that make low wages. Its personal taste, not your education.
- canovac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4You know those carnival toys you love to get with your girl/guy watching you toss rings? You know your toothpaste, practically everything at Wal-mart? Nobody ever gets those...
- rebornthrublood, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4REPOST!
- ShihJhit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4how is that a prison?
- rockrapdude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Cool hats.
- drizzlelicious, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4You're saying Chinese people are ugly?
- krayzee911, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I'm coming to the same conclusion. I think people just assume the headline is accurate... This just looks like a toy factory to me.
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Just to note, IT IS NOT A PRISON. So please bury the story as inaccurate.
- plantator, on 10/10/2007, -5/+8But this is reality and this is truth!
- ussoldier, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3prisons are clean because they go ***** if you don't keep everything military spotless. no matter how much you clean them, however, they are still a sorry ass steel and concrete prison that nobody wants to live in
- mlostracco, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Except that most of them are not.
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5About time! Someone who actually understands what communism is. Lot's of people seem to believe communism = Dictatorships, slavery, and suffering. That's ignorance.
- 15charmaxwtf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3America has prison factories too, they get paid like a dollar an hour. Can't say I've got a reference but I'm sure a google search would find it. While I think prisoners should pay their way, common sense that this stuff isn't set up in a such a way to help the average tax payer.
- glasnostic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3could be worse. they could be forced to dance to that sister act song.
- canovac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Ah, so this submission is pandering to audiences by appealing to their emotions and biased opinions. Thanks for keeping digg honest.
