- AdmiralAcbar, on 10/16/2009, -0/+38Ew. That stuff must taste terrible.
- mrgr8avill, on 10/16/2009, -1/+31Where was this stuff when I was a kid? Would've saved us hours waiting in the shadows outside the 7-11 trying to pimp some beer.
- SexyGeekGirl, on 10/16/2009, -1/+26drinking OCD style... LOL
- TheJimid, on 10/17/2009, -0/+23So what if a school has hand sanitizers on the wall? Does that mean all the kids are getting drunk on the taxpayer dime?
- 2caster3, on 10/17/2009, -0/+18Not just drunk, that stuff is poison.
- googooly, on 10/17/2009, -0/+14Is it me or OCD is like fapping with both hands while wearing a diaper ?
- spookyttws, on 10/17/2009, -0/+13Psh, this is *****. It's much cheaper and more pleasant tasting to hit up Smart & Final for a 16oz bottle of Vanilla Extract. 80 proof, legal to buy, and it makes a fantastic alcoholic Vanilla coke. Oh, and if you actually bake a lot, it'll save you a bunch- it's real Vanilla extract (not that crap made from chemicals), 16oz for around $10 (or it was 6 years ago when I was 18).
- Jake7732, on 10/17/2009, -1/+13Next on Digg. "Purell puts age limit on hand sanitizer."
- norman619, on 10/17/2009, -0/+11Have you tasted hand sanitizer? Sorry but as a kid I would have opted for the shadows outside 7-11 over drinking that stuff. The stuff tastes horrid and I have only had a small sample from some of the crap getting on something I ate. You gotta be pretty damn desperate to drink it. It's pretty much jellied rubbing alchohol. Kind a like napalm.
- nahsrocketeer75, on 10/16/2009, -1/+11You mean I have to go home and have a talk with the kids about this now? Great.
- ftc08, on 10/17/2009, -4/+13CUT ALL FUNDING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS!
/acorn hating republican - Kahnza, on 10/17/2009, -0/+7"Specifically, denatured refers to the removal of the ethanol product's usefulness as a beverage. The ethanol molecule is not itself denatured in the sense of its chemical structure being altered."
Its the additives that make it toxic. Don't be a retard. - reelskamachine, on 10/17/2009, -0/+6Hey, its just Darwin working his way though the people who are avoiding the swine flu.
- Boogalou007, on 10/17/2009, -0/+6Just got back from the grocery store, I wondered why they were selling rootbeer (flavored?) hand sanitizer?
- norman619, on 10/17/2009, -1/+6Drink enough and it will sanitize the life out of you.
- Dream0Weaver, on 10/17/2009, -0/+5. . . ppooooiiiisssoooonnnn!
- Speed, on 10/17/2009, -0/+5The Canadian government actually got in trouble because they wouldn't give hand sanitizer to native reservations out of fear they'd just drink it (alcoholism is a big issue on native reserves)
- Dr3w, on 10/17/2009, -0/+4If you have a kid, it's smart to have poison control on speed dial. It's a much faster response, as 911 would have to first take your information and then redirect you.
- effigy11, on 10/17/2009, -1/+5imo this = HUGE FAIL. If your kids are stupid enough to drink this stuff, you fail as a parent... if you really carry this stuff all over and leave it where children can get a hold of it, you fail.
Sick of all this "idiot proofing" we do in america. Let the weak retarded stupid ***** and their offspring die. - palehorse864, on 10/17/2009, -0/+4Didn't Tony Shalhoub do this when playing Ian Stark in Stark Raving Mad? :)
That was a hilarious show. Tony Shalhoub basically plays the polar opposite of Adrian Monk. Neil Patrick Harris plays an obsessive compulsive book editor who is a bit like Monk, down to keeping hand sanitizer around. Check the reply section in a bit. I'm currently searching out one of the best clips from the show. - Ninh, on 10/16/2009, -3/+7Makes your guts clean, at least.
- yocouchdigga, on 10/17/2009, -2/+6It's probably just the alcoholism talking but... I kind of want to try it.
- Kahnza, on 10/17/2009, -1/+4Drinking jellified denatured alcohol must be tasty. :tard:
HAVE FUN POISONING YOURSELVES! - norman619, on 10/17/2009, -2/+5Purell does not have that kind of power. I think you meant government.
- doublefelix, on 10/17/2009, -0/+3Yeah, but you still have your pancreas.
- IMustBeEmo, on 10/17/2009, -0/+3dugg up for dedication
also I love Monk :) - FoxFaction, on 10/17/2009, -0/+3I"M SO DRUNK YET MY INTESTINES ARE SO CLEAN!
- phlyphl69, on 10/17/2009, -0/+3My scanner flags it and deletes it. But ya. It's there.
- starlon2, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2Why I'm going to have to give this here a try. *hic*
- redfox2600, on 10/18/2009, -0/+2For ***** sakes kids of 2009, at least put some effort into it http://www.blacktable.com/gillin030901.htm
Back in my day we had to care our makeshift moonshine distillery to the woods every night. The trip was in the snow too and it was up hill both ***** ways. - consoneo, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2Uhm... Is anyone else getting this page to pull up a virus/spyware program? It redirects the page about 2 seconds after it loads... Anyone?
- MrMongoose, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2No kidding. They'll drink hairspray:

at least that way, if they still do it, they probably deserved it. - palehorse864, on 10/17/2009, -1/+3Here is the scene.

Ian screwing with his Claustrophobic book editor by trapping him in an elevator and playing games with him. - colinmhayes, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2only if you masturbate with it.
- agbullet, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1typographically and in actuality, I'd say yes.
- Atario, on 11/01/2009, -0/+1And don't forget the wider availability of cough syrup, or even mouthwash.
- Boogalou007, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1"pruno tastes like a bile flavored wine cooler"
I read the entire article, and I don't know why? - Atario, on 11/01/2009, -0/+1When you were a kid, they had cough syrup. Check the labels sometime -- 20% alcohol (40 proof) or more is fairly common. And there are a few that are just insane -- like 70%.
- fuzzynyanko, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1You should read a guide to making vanilla extract. You put a vanilla bean in vodka or whiskey
- colinmhayes, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1everyone knows that ethanol in anything other than booze is denatured, federal law requires it.
- scoottie, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1If they are that stupid to do it that way rather than the old fashion way of finding a bum to buy you beer i say let then. Darwinism will weed them out of the gene pool.
- 2caster3, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1The way this alcohol is produced, they hope the chemicals make it so you don't drink it just like with rubbing alcohol. If it were edible it would be sold only to people over 21 that is US law. I took fermentation and wine making courses, and learned how to distill from a professional Doctor of Viticulture who graduated from Cornell. Over consumption of Isopropyl alcohol will lead to the fallowing:
Abdominal pain
Burns and damage to the clear covering of the front of the eye (cornea)
Coma
Dizziness
Headache
Low body temperature
Low blood pressure
Low blood sugar
Nausea
Rapid heart rate
Skin redness and pain
Slowed breathing
Slurred speech
Throat pain
Uncoordinated movement
Unconsciousness
Unresponsive reflexes
Urination problems (too much or too little urine)
Vomiting (may contain blood - dwofford, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1Wouldn't this make you go blind?

- RNEMESiS42, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1Heh, of course it comes out of Minneapolis. I love this place.
- Asianwaste, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1Least it's clean fun.
- Metasquares, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1Neither methanol nor isopropyl alcohol are safe to drink.
- Computer_Kid, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1Just like compressed air and spray paint!
