- JammoBlammo, on 03/28/2009, -0/+13Progress being made - dugg for hope.
- Wakkyweed, on 03/28/2009, -0/+5Marijuana also kills tumor cells. Maybe we should just smoke it 200 times a day.
- supermanly, on 03/28/2009, -0/+4SCIENCE!
- addvalue, on 03/27/2009, -3/+7Is this why bisphosphonates were found to be involved with osteonecrosis in the jaw last year? Good news for the one third of Ras gene related cancers though. I guess some ideas to deliver the bisphosphonate to target tissue is to either form a prodrug to conert to active drug at the site of action, or maybe to find a protein unique to the target tissue that the bisphosphonate can bind to.

- mpn401, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3Uh, he didn't really set you up for that Lethal Weapon line.
- LawScholar, on 06/25/2009, -0/+3Hey cancer...It's just been revoked.
- BigMiller, on 03/28/2009, -1/+3Is the secret ingredient Chuck Norris's tears?
- AlpineR, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2I saw "clinical trials" and got excited. Then I realized that this drug is still in the lab and the "clinical trials" refers to the drugs it's 200 times more active than. So that means they have no idea about the safety and efficacy and in the best case scenario they're still years from availability. Sigh.
- fallingdamage, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1bets on that this drug contains DCA
- mpn401, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1Yes, but cancer is just a bunch of diseases that share a common characteristic. What cancers would this work best for?
- inactive, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1The real question here is: does it get you high?
- asgardshill, on 03/29/2009, -0/+1Yeah, what he said.
- crxyem, on 03/27/2009, -1/+2Good news, Too bad it won't be available to a good friend of the family that was just diagnosed with lymphoma
- volume909, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1You don't wanna know what happens when Chuck Norris cries.
- sponeil, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1Is it also 200 times more active in killing normal cells? (Resist the urge to respond with the obvious.)
- thumperings, on 03/29/2009, -0/+1actually Cancer Cure #361, that narwhal semen cure didn't do ***** my cousin.
- mmastrac, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1Fire and acid too!
- thumperings, on 03/29/2009, -0/+1you just blinded me a little bit in my eye.
- canchin, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1Meanwhile, the Granulocyte InFusion Therapy (G.I.F.T.) therapy discovered by Dr. Cui Zheng and Dr. Mark Willingham of Wake Forest University in 1999 that has shown ever since then - and has had the results published several times in Peer Reviewed publications such as the "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences" - to be able to totally cure (not just shrink a tumor - something that a few hundred dollars in treatment with a cytokine like Methionine Enkaphalin [MEK] can do) WITHOUT horrendous side-effects - several cancers such as skin cancer, prostate cancer, and others - in mammals...languishes for lack of a few million bucks just to be able to run the FDA allowed (as of September 2008) human clinical trials so as to show the same results in humans.
The drug industry doesn't want a cure for cancer. The corrupt politicians lapping at the trough of the drug industry don't want a cure. Investors that already have their fingers and souls involved in the con of the drug industry don't want a cure. Cancer doctor's don't want a cure.
All "They" care about are patentable bandaids that in turn kill more patients with dangerous side effects than they do to give some poor patient a couple extra months.
Cancer CAN be cured - but not by the drug companies, and the corrupt politicians, or the average cancer doctor, because a "Cure" means fewer people needing the dangerous drugs or even more dangerous treatments that generate billions of dollars for the "industry." - rlh1, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1I can see what you mean.
I bet those drug companies, politicians and doctors and their families are immune from cancer
so they really don't need these life saving drugs and only need money,..., - crimsonkage, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1Will it turn humanity into rabid light fearing cannibals?
- Djupblue, on 03/28/2009, -0/+1Killing cancer cells is really not a problem, it's very easy actually. Cyanide or fire is effective. The hard part is to not kill the healthy cells. Lets hope this works though, cancer has killed a lot of good people.
- zenmechanic, on 03/28/2009, -2/+2guh?
- MadN, on 03/28/2009, -0/+0Antimatter kills cancer too.
- cshilney, on 03/28/2009, -1/+0I got to the University of Illinois. Represent. I hope I can add something to the world with my education.
- moosejaw99, on 03/28/2009, -3/+1and 400 times better at killing healthy cells.
Bummer. - batleycraig, on 03/28/2009, -5/+1google DCA .... youtube... CBC T.V. Glen Beck CNN
the stuff works...FAST... and you can buy it in bulk... no side effects.
University of Calgary... Big Pharma will not investigate.. drug was hidden since the 50's and recently unearthed by accident by a cardiologist.
Have fun with it...bake it in cakes..put it in candy... there is nothing illegal about it....simple compound...video must be seen to be believed. - inactive, on 03/28/2009, -7/+2dugg by me buried by cancer industry.
