- AriaStar, on 10/16/2008, -1/+40You mean holding a phone to your face, trapping sweat and dirt against your skin, with the heat from your skin and the phone, is actually a breeding ground for bacteria that may cause your skin to break out?! File this under NO *****, SHERLOCK!
But no, the article didn't mention this. Nope. It only talked about nickel and people who have sensitivity to it. If it exists, there's going to be someone sensitive/allergic to it. No need to stop the presses. - Grova, on 10/16/2008, -0/+18Maybe use a few alcohol wipes once in awhile. Just saying....
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -0/+10Is anyone elses digg cookies not working? Every time I shut down my browser the past day I have to log in again
- Sepeteus, on 10/17/2008, -0/+9New skin disorder? What's new about nickel allergy?
- secrity, on 10/17/2008, -0/+9I wonder how many people even know that they can use an alcohol wipe on their phone.
- duggdowncatisad, on 10/17/2008, -0/+7If I had a nickel for every lame health scare story in the news...
- i4ybrid, on 10/17/2008, -1/+6Really? If you put something abrasive on your skin for long periods of time you can get a rash!?!?!?
- rabidbob, on 10/17/2008, -0/+5It's just the Daily Fail being sensationalist again.
- insomniacpyro, on 10/17/2008, -0/+5I'm surprised more people don't take a damp alcohol wipe to their phones more often. Makes even older phones look like new.
- BrendanSheehan, on 10/17/2008, -0/+4Digg has had cookie problems off and on for over 12 months now: "token is not invalid" crap etc. They need to hire a cookie monster.
- stealthc, on 10/17/2008, -1/+5Sweet. Finally something we can use to get those teenage girls to stop incessantly texting their friends from across the room.
- MacBookForMe, on 10/16/2008, -3/+6A new fashion.....creates a new allergy...how very human:)
- Venemous, on 10/17/2008, -2/+5Daily Mail Spam
Daily Mail = Fox News - Benjigga, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3The first line makes it sound like it's from The Onion.
- secrity, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3In this case it is not an abrasive, it is a smooth metal.
- kellenvh, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3I'm waiting for the research that shows that cell phone use exacerbates Social Boorishness Disorder.
- secrity, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3I am not in the least bit concerned about a bit of fecal material on my phone. Fecal material is everywhere, and in this case, it is in trace quantities and it is probably your own fecal material. If fecal material were a major health problem we would all be quite sick or dead.
- Venemous, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3Yes, me too, and on my mates iPod Touch
- krwlngindark, on 10/17/2008, -0/+2Holy *****, I need to throw out my cell phone!
- alexanderrenee, on 10/17/2008, -0/+2I have a nickle allergy, so i just put a plastic cover on my phone. Of course I hardly ever use the damned thing.
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -0/+2headset ftw
- mGARANDEUR1, on 10/17/2008, -1/+2I'm surprised phones have that much nickel in them. I would think modern phones would be mostly plastic and aluminum.
- phroztbyt3, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1This has nothing to do with nickel poisoning. That makes no sense.. why didnt this happen years ago?... its most likely the fact that phones are incredibly dirty. People wipe your phones with some rubbing alcohol and call it a day.
- werries, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1but it does wonders for devices and sanitizing.
- no2gates, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1All the more reason to get an iPhone, right?
- dejanigma, on 10/17/2008, -0/+1I thought this was from the onion... what the?
- BrendanSheehan, on 10/17/2008, -1/+1The Daily Mail is some horribly sleazy news group.
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -1/+1Look at papa smurf "the blue man" he used the old cell phones all the time, and turn himself blue. What's next
- inactive, on 10/17/2008, -1/+1That's some weird, wild schtuff
- BrendanSheehan, on 10/17/2008, -2/+2You crazy.
- syariscrewz, on 06/20/2009, -0/+0nice . love it

- donkevin, on 10/17/2008, -1/+1This guy also thinks the earth is flat, and hasn't heard of these new "moving pictures".
- iamthearm, on 10/17/2008, -0/+0All of a sudden? We've been using cell phones for a loooooong time. Hey, is Fox News running Digg storys again?
- tinak24, on 10/18/2008, -0/+0better to be safe than sorry guys..
- loyx, on 10/18/2008, -1/+0become friends with the troll
- noirhawk, on 10/17/2008, -3/+2Fine on mine; using Firefox 3.
- SolitarySoviet, on 10/17/2008, -3/+1probably has to do with introducing all the fecal matter thats transferred from fingers to phone then phone to your face....
so if your jumping ahead in logic, yes if you use a mobile phone.... most likely right now
YOU HAVE ***** ON YOUR FACE....
Id wager its still better than being a dumb ass bluetooth cyborg though... - haloplayer9672, on 10/17/2008, -4/+2Oh, is someone jealous that Fox News is more fair and balanced compared to every other news station out there? Just because you support the secular progressive movement does not mean that every other intelligent American does. Most American's actually support the traditionalist way of thinking and therefore make Fox News the most watched news station in the country. Did you know Bill O'Reilly actually has more viewers now than the CBS evening news?
- Phamsta, on 10/17/2008, -9/+0alcohol dries out your skin and makes you look older... don't touch the watch

What is Digg?
