Sorry, I get really pissed off when I see those starved, skinny (and butt ugly) waifs parade down catwalks and what not as being held up as some sort of ideal beauty. I wish they would bring back the WWII pin up girls as a more realistic ideal of beauty. Also, recently, I think Spain and Italy both introduced a BMI "lock", only models who were over a certain BMI point average were allowed on their catwalks because they were getting sick of the emaciated look. That's not exactly why ultra-thin women get picked as fashion models. Fashion models are like a canvas and a designer decorates the canvas with clothing. You don't want the canvas detracting from the art and that's particularly true with runway models. Think of them as walking canvas.
That's also why Playboy models are not heroine thin. They have hourglass curves because that gets your engine revved up.
If you notice there aren't that many fashion models that make the transition over to swimsuit because you use different criteria for selecting those models.

What do women like in men?
I love how Digg's audience is filled with conscious, intelligent, and well-rounded men! Although, I like to think that women aren't quite as visually driven as men are when it comes to attraction. I personally prefer men with a little layer of pudge and most women would admit that they absolutely HATE the body builder image that so many men dream about.
So, instead of working out for hours a day at a gym in order to impress the ladies maybe guys should spend a bit more time reading and talking to women. We do like attention! -
