I guess thats why i just find a menial job that requires no testing, at least i have no fears of losing a job by doing something so horrifying and deadly as marijuana in my own home.

1. abstinence - dont use 'illegal' drugs
2. substitution - ie, synthetic urine, or simply using someone elses 'clean' urnin as a substitute. check out http://www.gonumber1.com/. I have used this on numerous occasions and it has worked flawlessly every time.
3. Dilution - you can use this method if you use virtually any of the hundreds of 'system cleaners' available at headshops... not extreemly reliable, but it does work in some situations.
one very important thing to keep in mind:
THC is NOT water soluble, nothing out there can actually 'cleanse' your system. The only way to get rid of THC metabolites is to burn it via metabolism. Also if you plan to dilute, you only need to drink copious amounts of water about an hour or two just prior to the test, if you are drinking days in advance you are simply causing yourself discomfort for NO reason or benefit. - inactive, on 10/31/2007, -0/+25You guys sure? What I do on my free time is my business (As a matter of fact the only drugs I use are the occasional ibuprofen, benadryl, or iced mocha). I don't feel that these people are morons. I feel that they don't know all of their legal options, they don't know about the drinks and fake bladders out there that would let them pass these tests (or can't afford them), and they are probably addicted to the drugs they are trying to hide. I understand that we're talking about businesses as opposed to government and there is freedom to contract but with that, comes a need to balance that freedom with the freedom of the individual. If every place one goes to try to earn a decent living does this, then it might as well be government. Our laws protect both business and the individual. That's why it's illegal to bar someone from employment based on their race or religion. If you think drug testing is ok, then let me ask you this. What are you going to say in a decade or maybe only a few years from now when these same companies are using DNA testing to find suitable employees? If they're allowed to look at someone's piss then why not allow them to look at their genes? Seems to me that if you're for one then you ought to be for the other.

Your making the inappropriate assumption that because you associate with a dumb pothead that therefore all people who use pot can be considered a "pothead" (a generally derogatory term with stupidity built into it) and are in fact stupid. This is logically unsound, my friend. Just like some people are stupid some people who smoke pot are stupid....just like some people who take xanax are stupid and some people who drink are stupid. You cant go from "My friend who smokes pot is a complete dumb ass" to "all people who smoke pot are complete dumb asses" without justifying such a position beyond referring to your ONE friend.
And why the hell are you hanging out with someone who is so stupid anyways? I'll just say what i know for sure, and you can do what you want. Lets just say that I work for a company, and this company makes it's money in this industry.
So, how to pass your test...
The simplest way is to know the detection times. Pot is the longest at up to 45 days for a heavy user. For those of you you smoke a bit a few times a week, it's closer to 15. Your best best is to (if you know a test is coming (pre employment) and not a random) refrain from use for the right amount of time. Oddly some of the more 'hard' drugs have shorter detection times. Blow is only about 2-5 days. Google around for more info on this. Labcorp, Quest Diagnostics etc. As someone said, drinking water is the best way, but, if your piss comes back too watered down, it's called a diluted specimen. They still test it and it's labeled pos dilute, or neg dilute. Basically saying the drugs tested for were or were not there, but there was dilution. Depending on the people who sent you for the test, they may or may not give a ***** after that. They may send you for another (and maybe observed) collection. So the thing to do here is drink water instead of all else for until the day before the test. Then drink normally. Have some coffee, soda, whatever you normally drink. Let your body piss out all the excess water and get back to 'normal' levels. Then come piss time it tests as regular piss, and drug free. BTW the Collection site isn't supposed to give a ***** whether your piss looks real or not...unless it's really strange looking. No matter what you hand them, they are supposed to send it for testing and mark the oddity of the CoC (chain of Custody). So don't' worry about your piss not being yellow enough. If you are positive for anything you normally get a call from an MRO. This is a doctor who specializes in drug testing. They will basically ask if you have prescriptions. There's a lot of leeway here as to what they do here. It varies from place to place but it's mostly similar. If you are diluted, just say you do something that normally requires a lot of water (work outdoors, workout heavily daily, on a water only diet) This won't change their report back to the company, but can provide some sort of legitimacy to it. Best to try and avoid it.
For Random Testing, you're pretty much *****. Most random testing if for DoT regulated employees, but any one can do it. Best thing you can do is drink water and piss as much as possible. Stay calm, try not to burn fat. Piss in the bowl a little, then into the cup..people say that helps but that's more a medical opinion. Don't try to pretend you can't piss, as that will just be marked as a Refusal to Test, and depending on your company policy, whatever their procedure from there is. Take the test and go home. Don't smoke, or do any drugs. Best case scenario you come out clean (or below the ng/ml cutoff) and your counted as negative. You might get a pos dilute which is not that bad since you will likely be forced for an observed retest. At this point it's at least 3 days later, and you've been drinking water and cleaning out more. You will prolly have to have some guy stare at your dick (or some girl gander at your vajayjay) while you piss. But at that point you will prolly pass.
Someone said drug testing is unconstitutional? How? you agree to it when you sign the form. It's a company policy. we may not like it, but it's not the law (except DoT employee's)
Oh and last bit of advice. I am one of about...50 IT people in this industry. Most people are just mom and pop Third Party Administrators for Drug Testing. They process your info and send it to company after getting it from a lab. Of those 50 (I've met half of them) I'm likely one of 3 with any sort of infosec training at all. Most tests use your SSN as an ID (and SpecimenID for tracking the piss) for the company. If you have a high amount you get marked for a re-test. Dilution also changes the gravity of your urine which will mark you for a re-test as well.
They can't prove you are trying to hide anything so it is not an instant fail. -
