- AmyVernon, on 07/30/2008, -11/+91hello, 1992 called and wants its cell phone back.
- BaseballGuyCAA, on 07/30/2008, -24/+85They also examined his head, and found nothing.
- Swarms, on 07/30/2008, -19/+76^These comments are a shame. You don't want him to be president...that's fine. But you actually hope he has cancer (that he may have picked up from being outside in prison camps for five years), that's ridiculous. Go ahead and digg it down.
- braunagn, on 07/30/2008, -29/+66"Ladies and gentlemen, the biopsy results are in and the findings show that Senator McCain is one old-ass *****."
- 404digg, on 07/30/2008, -8/+35Just because I disagree with some people is no reason to stop short of wishing them well.
- visionaryIX, on 07/30/2008, -12/+39Huffington didn't manage to spin this negatively?
- DuffyDirect, on 07/30/2008, -8/+29love him or hate him the huffington post is still *****!
- boydrew, on 07/30/2008, -5/+25yes,lets wish cancer on a man because he doesn't agree with my political views....
- williamlee, on 07/30/2008, -7/+25I may not vote for the old fart but I am glad to know he doesn't have cancer.
- mrmayor92, on 07/30/2008, -9/+25***** THIS MEME
- Barackalypse, on 07/30/2008, -5/+20Buried, the reason this is being posted is to subtly suggest that McCain is old and frail, even as they say he doesn't have it they go out of their way to mention he has had it in the past. How about we discuss some issues?
- Jeepinator, on 07/30/2008, -6/+21Wow you are a piece of *****. Wishing someone to have cancer? I don't care how much you don't want them to be president. You don't wish that upon someone.
- Yalikescake, on 07/30/2008, -9/+24what's interesting is that if something similar happened to obama and i said "oh damn, he survived." id be crucified as a right wing nut job or a racist. however, if you say "damn he survived" to this story, its hilarious. because its so damn trendy to hate the right.
- Swarms, on 07/30/2008, -1/+15A major presidential candidate with a history of skin cancer was checked out and found to be cancer free. You don't think it's news that some voters might want to know?
- Yalikescake, on 07/30/2008, -2/+15i certainly dont consider myself a republican. hell, far from it. it just fascinates me to see people attacking the republican party for the troubles we are in, only all politicians are to blame. hell yes, the republican executive branch is a nightmare, but the democratic legislative branch is just as terrible. i was hoping for a positive change when the democrats took over congress, only they made things much worse. politicians as a whole are corrupt, not just the right, the left is just as awful.
- StinkyPete, on 07/30/2008, -25/+36The cancer is on the Republican party. Another one was indicted today.
- boydrew, on 07/30/2008, -1/+10i'm gonna go out on a limb and say both parties have ideological nutjobs...
- Suzilla, on 07/30/2008, -3/+11Is anyone here old enough to remember Paul Tsongas? He ran a close second to Bill Clinton in the 1992 presidential primaries. He was also a cancer survivor at the time. Although he was generally well-received among Democrats, one thing -- perhaps the main thing -- that kept people from choosing him was his medical history. You might say this is sad, but not long after the general election he announced that his cancer had returned, and he died in January, 1997. Had Tsongas won the election, we would very likely have had yet another US president die while in office. The negative biopsy test result is indeed good news for McCain the human being, however, it reminds voters that McCain the candidate had cancer -- and could have it again.
- jetboyterp, on 07/30/2008, -7/+14Looks like HuffPo disabled comments over there as well. Aren't those loving liberals something?
- AshamedAmerican, on 07/30/2008, -17/+23Good, no sympathy votes for him.
- jmeeker516, on 07/30/2008, -2/+7wow.
- brandozilla, on 07/30/2008, -0/+5Dugg so everyone can see some of these shameful comments. Some of you will probably have a loved one die of cancer someday, and as you watch them die; think back that you wished such a horrible death on someone simply because you don't want him to be President.
- jetboyterp, on 07/30/2008, -3/+7yeah..hate=intelligent? Moron....
- EtherGnat, on 07/30/2008, -3/+7"however, if you say "damn he survived" to this story, its hilarious. because its so damn trendy to hate the right."

Yes, there are several ***** comments, but they are being swiftly dugg down (as they should be). What hypocrisy is it you think you're point out? It's just not the case. - BobTheTaco, on 07/31/2008, -1/+5WTF! Who's digging you down?!
- medfreak, on 07/30/2008, -7/+10Liberals did not take over the world. Instead, the neo-cons took over the far right and infused it with so many wacky ideals and then concealed it with a new dress presented as the "right wing" ideals, to an extent it makes the most extreme right wingers a hundred years ago look Liberal by today's standards.
- CosmicJustice, on 07/31/2008, -0/+3Paul Taxongas lost because Bill Clinton was a vastly superior candidate, not because of his medical history.
- techmaster, on 07/30/2008, -1/+4The same people that digg your stupid comments down.
- mmmmmbiscuits, on 07/30/2008, -2/+5Oh please.... I'm 41 and due to a youth spent getting sunburned while lifeguarding and swimming, I get biopsied and checked for exactly the same stuff every few months. I come home practically every 4 weeks and tell my wife "YAY! Another precancerous lesion!" and nobody, including my doctor, considers it "life threatening."
- LargeHotCoffee, on 07/31/2008, -0/+3My thoughts exactly.
DUGG - wright3279, on 07/31/2008, -0/+3All those posting hateful comments, you're Obama supporters? That doesn't speak well of the type of people that worship him and dominate the digg community.
- 1337H4x0rz, on 07/30/2008, -1/+4I don't care if you hate him or love him. Treat him with the respect a fellow human deserves.
- purelithium, on 07/31/2008, -0/+3I don't know, maybe if it's used another 2 or 300 more times, it'll get funnier.
- pizzatonight, on 07/30/2008, -2/+5So how is increasing taxes going to make the dollar go up? How is cuddling up to the Europeans (and middle east) going to make the dollar go up? These people want the dollar to go down - why, because America has been so successful since the 90's - our technology is better, our businesses are stronger, etc. - we're the competition (not the enemy) and so they want us to go down.
Obama's sweetness and love fest with the Europeans show they believe what Obama's wife believes, i.e., if they get into power, they're going to stick it to all those "privileged bastards" - RonnyN, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2You Anti-DIGG !!!
- TokenBlack, on 07/31/2008, -1/+3Yes Marijuana KILLS!
Jackass - species, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2Based on what you have dugg and the comments you have made under this topic it is obvious that you are very much a leftist. I would venture to say that if you are even old enough to vote that you are an Obama fan. You said that you don't care if McCain dies or not. How cold can you honestly be. Even if you don't agree with the man politically, you have no compassion at all as to whether or not he dies? I still don't see how you can say that he has caused all these deaths in Iraq. He's a senator, and i realize that this might be more than your underdeveloped brain to comprehend but he isn't responsible for going to Iraq. He voted in favor of going there just like Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and many other Democrats and Republicans based on the intelligence they were given. For you to say that he has innocent blood on his hands is a very ignorant statement. Yes he is in favor of continuing the effort in Iraq, but at this point we pretty much have to do something. We went in there and basically destroyed the infrastructure of the country. We left the people in that country with out electricity and many without food and water. I think we do have some responsibility to help rebuild the country. Before you saying that he's responsible for the deaths of thousands of people you should really think about what you are saying. The president is the one responsible for the actions of the troops. He is the command and chief of the armed forces. The congress just gave the president permission to go to war in Iraq based on the evidence they were presented at the time. Yes that evidence was wrong, but intelligence often is. But if you want to take your stance then you should blame pratically everyone in office at the time who supported war as well. Also, since you are obviously very uninformed about the issues you might want to do a little more reading about how the government actually works before you call someone a "dummy". It seems to me that you don't even know what the role of a United States Senator is.
- dha07030, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2See it was funny ^
- eerbin13, on 07/31/2008, -1/+3What if two of his friends really died from not having cancer? Would you feel sorry for what you said then? Don't assume you know someone's intentions. Two of my friends really did die from not having cancer, *****. ***** YOU!
- cliffzdude, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2That would have been an Motorola Ultra Classic. Damn. I'm old.
- mmmmmbiscuits, on 07/31/2008, -1/+3"Your doctor and you may not consider it "life threatening" but the 48,000 people who die from it every year might argue with your amateur diagnosis."
The vast majority of the people (it's ~8000 in the US, by the way) who die from skin cancer every year are the people who DON'T see a dermatologist regularly. So by the time a doctor finds the melanoma on their scalp hidden under their hair, or wherever, it's already metastasized. Make sense? It's just like most of the people who die of prostate, colon or breast cancer are the ones who do not detect it early.
I (and I'm sure McCain as well) get a full body scalp-to-toes skin exam every year and many checkups in between. A good dermatologist will biopsy ANYTHING questionable. And a knowledgeable patient will know what to look for and see the doctor as soon as they notice something iffy. To blow this up into "life threatening" is ridiculous, because it's no more worrisome than John Kerry's prostate cancer in 2003, which was diagnosed and treated. McCain is managing it just fine. You're the amateur trying to blow it out of proportion. - species, on 07/30/2008, -4/+6How does he have innocent blood on his hands? Please explain how you can honestly be justified in that kind of a statement. So he supported going to Iraq. So did all the politicians at the time except for like Ron Paul. Hell Bill Clinton wanted to go to Iraq when he was in office, and his attacking Bosnia cost more US lives than Iraq has and it was a much shorter conflict. I will agree that going to Iraq was not a good decision and has cost the US Trillions of dollars, but that doesn't justify your ignorant comment. Also since you obviously have your head shoved up Obama's ass, Obama said that he would have supported the war if he had been in office at the time. He also doesn't support leaving Iraq for quite some time. So in your "logic" he also has the blood of innocents on his hands.
- purelithium, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2WHATEVER, COMMIE!

Everyone wishing cancer on McCain for partisan reasons should read this article about a dying democratic congressmen and John McCain.
"We disagree in politics but not in life. It was one man saying to another, party political differences cut only so deep. Having made that step, they found much to agree upon and many useful ways to work together. This is the reason McCain keeps coming to see Udall even after Udall has lost his last shred of political influence. The politics were never all that important." - ilmmad, on 07/30/2008, -0/+2Dying, son. Dying.
